Ouch, sounds like the 8 is hurting already and they are banging on the keyboards to fix it

Tom Kristensen saying Aitken should known better and stayed away from the white lines.
What a mistake to make on lap 1 of a 24-hour race! |

Used the SC to sync the Telly, RLM and timing! 3 way sync.- it’s as bad as tuning three SUs!

LMP2s already in and a driver change?
Looks like a decent impact to the barriers there too, might be a bit longer on SC |

What an intense start. Truly felt like the beginning of a new era. Too bad about Aitken throwing it at the wall and the subsequent SC. Now time to wait for R2.

Hindy making a good point. Those in LMP2 and Hyper that were at the back get a bit of a bump.
RLM reporting that they might go green, but with a local slow zone where repairs needed. |

36 39 98 on the timing screen. Looks like they have been naughty and driven past the red light at the end of pit lane.

I'm not so sure about the slow zone only there, that's a big bit on the track to fix the armco. Not that I don't trust drivers to slow but I don't at all, even a little. See the contact with the Tower car on Aston. DKR replacing more parts at the rear |

Ferrari: If Toyota pit then you do too. That way we can’t be totally wrong on strategy.

Man plenty of pit action already and computers plugged in everywhere
Motor Trend didn't give us Calado on the radio here so that's nice |

It was Ferrari telling Calado to pit if Toyota does. |

Toyota probably have some more efficient aero, that helps with colder tires. Would make sense with less developed Ferraris.
