Round 18 : Cup Series, Kentucky...
Never too late to start a thread
Lap 200 of 267 - McMurray just blew up, wonder who was pitting when the yellow came out... Kyle Busch has been dominating, with Brad Keselowski leading of late on different strategy... Thinking its time for an Ambrose win |

^Been past time, but no win for Taz...
Had to listen to most of the race on PRN as I was on the road but caught the end on the tube. Even with the radio guys making things 10 times more exciting than it actually is, seems this one was lack luster, at best and never helps when 18 wins, either. Glad to hear that it was a sellout; first of the year? Also heard that it was an absolute nightmare getting into the track; inaugural races at "new" tracks can be like that. The track seems to have some potential, and I kind of like the feel of it but I am not sure what to think; just no real wow factor about it. |

Agreed. Very boring race for much of it. At least the trucks were fun. Even worse was all the congestion around it. The track wasn't ready for cup AT ALL.

So it was dreadful to the point people could not get in...

Shame for the fans. At least SMI is trying to make things right, but that is reactive instead of proactive |

Bruton estimated 15k couldn't make it to the track. Free tickets to another race this year... better option would be a free ticket to next year's event.

Pretty much, you either had to stay in the area (camp, hotel) overnight, or leave your house before dawn to have made it, it seems.
