I mean, most teams start testing next week and they don't have money, an engine.....they haven't even secured a single driver for next year. And with the departure of telefonica and the broken deal with PSN and no other pay drivers in the horizon available.....where are they going to get the money for next year.....and more importantly....where are they going to find the money for the engine. The thing didn't see so serious when the season ended a month ago but it seems that time is running out.

What will happen?!?

The rumour about Minardi swapping Alonsos contract for an engine supply has resurfaced and could well be their way out.

Basically, Briatore gets the 5 year contract on Alonso, then gives Minardi a supply of Supertecs, plus the services of Alonso.

Autosport has reported that Alonso's contract has been bought by Briatore, and that shoudl secure Minardi Supertec customer power for next year, but it does not solve their current driver and sponsor dilemna.

The Alonso thing sounds pretty reasonable but what KC says is true. They may not need to worry about the cost of the engines but they still have a chasis to develop and a team to run and with their 2 main sponsors gone I don't see how will they keep the team running.....maybe if Mazzacane re signs with minardi but....
