Ahh...but you should ask about the other tests they booked, but then never showed up for. I've heard its as many as 4...

We can forego the mea culpas on wrongly criticising lastturnclub for getting the issue of one versus two spyders wrong, though, considering the PR is wrong also. (Yes, I take sportscarpros to be authoritative on this.)
Pardon, I thought we were talking about the cost to run this thing! Now I believe there is a huge difference in the amount of money it takes to purchase and run 2 RS Spyders with a full package vs 1, so how does that classify as a mea culpas( oops, my bad!)?

When asked about a team sponsor, the team pricinpile stated he had $50 million for the race team, so he didn't need a sponsor.

If the press release was written in May, would this not also match with Solaroli's claim that the drivers would be signed and announced sometime around May (or at least April I believe)?

If Solaroli was attempting to make it appear had had a team when there was in fact none, why wouldn't he just release this press release when it was written, so that it'd appear he had drivers and everything was fine?

I heard a figure of 4 million euro's for a single RS Spyder deal with works support ..... i guess a 2 car team would be slightly cheaper .

Wow I can't wait for some official news, just to stop the arguments! Truth is there is a lot of confusion and mystery surrounding this story, I don't think Mr Solaroli knows whats going on tbh.
I heard the same things as you Hugewally and The Badger. And The359, your guess is as good as mine, I really don't understand why there was such a delay with the press release and driver announcements if everything was a-ok, none of it makes sense, at least Al's got CET a bit of media attention even before his cars have made the grid

If you mean what CET will do or not do in respect to racing, no indication.

Autosport is reporting that Pat Long will drive for CET ..... the rumours are still flying around .

Dont you think that Porsche would have heard about all these negative rumours by now ?

And yet today , its being reported that Long is their man !!

Its odd indeed , but neither Porsche , Herbert , Lahto or Long are denying anything .

Autosport reported that Al Solaroli said that Pat Long could drive for CET Racing, but "it's not 100%."

"They" have.

See above what was reported.

Not odd at all. So far all those "reports," "announcements," and "confirmations" quote only one source. It is true that a real source has said that two of those drivers have actually signed an agreement with CET Racing. The question remains whether anything will come of it, so it's not surprising that the fanfare remains restrained. The third driver hasn't heard anything of driving for the team "in months."

The fact is that not all business is conducted in forums.
