I think our desire for cooler temps has worked too well. Saturday night lows looks to be dropping and now in to the 40s. Not complaining, just need to remember actual pants this year or it will be cold mornings

Starting to look very, very manageable:
https://www.wsbtv.com/weather Sorry for those possible storms on Tuesday, broad, but knocking the dust down a little would be nice. However, I don't think any amount of rain is gonna keep the clouds of dust down. Bring the allergy meds!!! |

It was still 94 here today, but they promise tomorrow will be in the 80's. I still haven't packed a thing, but i did buy beer and bourbon, so i guess i'm set.

I haven't sourced the beer yet, surprisingly light on beer on my list but have the bourbons. It is supposed to be barely 80s here today and the rest of the week with lows in to the 40s on Fri and Sat nights.
I haven't loaded anything yet but have made the gear check and sourced a few replacement things. Unfortunately yesterday was wasted when I wanted to the get the grill clean. So this afternoon will be a mad dash to clean the aphid drool off the grill, figure out how to load the truck with the bigger grill and get everything in to leave tomorrow bright and early. Last day at the office has begun and I'm thinking it will be a SHORT day without the boss here. Have a project to inspect 125 trees in the forests of Bankhead, behind a funeral home that i supposed to be done by Friday. I'm thinking it can wait until after, with police escort. |

Working from home today. Started the list yesterday, cleaned "our" grill, for some reason and cleaned out the creeper van.

welp, the van is 95% packed. All that's left are the food items and brews.
We got a couch, love seat & ottoman set for free to bring to the campsite. We usually only get that for Sebring, but 'free' was a price that we couldn't pass up. 1/2 day of work tomorrow should get us inside the track by 8p. |

Will do, on the planetarium. Sounds like Tony is not coming? I don't even understand his texts, so no taters unless some has a fryer to bring... |

I'm doing okay, I just have groceries and ice left. I'm too drunk to drive at the moment, so that will have to wait for morning. I'm really enjoying watching my bosses try to field all of my emails at the moment. Me thinks the volume and anger has caught them off guard! Or maybe it's the volume of the anger. Welcome to my world.
I'm also switching phones momentarily as mine **** the bed over the weekend. If you have a tough time reaching me, that's normal, but I also have phone issues now. |

I figured I find you tomorrow afternoon pulling in and ready for a beer or 2.
Truck is loaded except for the food, beer and clothes. Managed to get the big grill and everything in pretty much the same space, did have to take the bed cover off for the first time in 5 years. And damn that thing is heavy. I have 25ish lbs of charcoal so we'll probably need a bit more by the weekend if a late arriver can top up. I did find decent small potatoes so no fried taters but I can do grilled taters. |

Actually close to on schedule but holy crap school traffic SUCKS, glad I'm usually already in the office by 7. Just a quick Kroger stop for ice and the slow roll to the interstate. But it's vacation finally

Ease my mind and tell me that you got THE spot. And text me orders of biscuits, eggs or anything else for breakfast. Also, thoughts on straw bales? To keep dust down... |

Edit, it might not be too bad but trailers could be tough.
The marshalls posts are now blue instead of the old green. And we have a new sightly larger jet dryer Also, it's going to be PACKED this weekend. The parking lines out front were full at 930 and the will call area was half way already. Last edited by broadrun96; 8 Oct 2019 at 14:33. |
