DMN Brands Hatch 6/5/07

So we're still about 4 weeks away from the Brands round, but the list is filling up VERY FAST.

We are up to about 28 entries already so there is going to be a battle for the final places...come on guys get those entries in!!!

I'll be there as normal chaps. Looking forward to catching up with all the new faces I've spoken to by e-mail!

Will have to get some more logos in though. If anyone knows someone who does them cheap...

Just put my entry in the post, along with spec form for the "new" car. No photo yet, but I'll get one to you asap.

Tim, If You're running in my class, have you thought of using lead ?

p.s. If you don't have any local metal stockists, I believe B&Q do ally sheet - not the cheapest way to buy it, but convenient. For the Tomcat ( which has glass panels in the roof as a road car, but the Roversport cars have steel panels,) I have some custom made GRP panels - how about a flat sheet of grp with rivets, or a custom grp mould of the glass panel ?

cheers, my cars nearly ready for brands, got a new outer rim for the rear wheel and a mapping session booked to hopefully squeeze a bit more power from the engine, ok it went well at lydden which isnt a power circuit but felt very very tame in the go dept compaired to last year, so i fear the cossy boys will be breathing down my neck at brands without some more power

I see from another forum his lordship is out again. Perhaps you could have the party at his stately home?

Yes he has raced previously...I remember him on the grid 2 or 3 years ago.

Entry list for the DMN race will be published early this week.

Yep, His Lordship - CFG - that's him! He's muttering about modsports and the like. At least the fabled Astra GSR with it's magnetic panels hasn't found it's way back to DMN etc....

yeah thats him, i was aware of his "rep" a few years ago but had several hard but very clean and enjoyable races against him, and wondered what all the fuss over him was about, a few meetings later for no apparent reason he then started bouncing off other cars!

he hasnt registered for DMN, and is unlikely to as we no longer have road going classes or those for list 1A tyres

He could go in with the tin-tops...but he was muttering about being uncompetitive when he enquired at Lydden.

He's a hard racer from what I've seen - the Astra is still going (just about judging by it's steam / smoke / liquid deposits at North Weald!).

Trouble strikes people... Your trusty photographer has suffered a camera failure. Like you guys I'm now in a race against time to get out for the 5th!

Hopefully should make it with a borrowed camera body but could do without the expense!
