MD back again - I wonder if he put something into Dan's drink earlier today to make him do it, Mario seems to turn up everywhere!

Champ car practice footage and of Dan's crash with other great CC at Zolder coverage this weekend. It's in Belgium but it makes sense!

Mario back, at least I got something right today.

Jan is really mad in the video, of course he had every right to be. Hopefully that was the biggest shunt of the weekend and we'll see all the cars on the grid Sunday.

Don't you mean "....footage and of some of Dan's many crashes'"!

What a ****wit. God knows it was only a matter of time! Speedy Dan? Dangerous Dan more like, soon to be Desperate Dan?

Thanks Luke, that's great stuff. I wish CC would try to emulate.

True, but he actually was on probation, so violating probation usually means a lot harsher follow-up:

You're right. Well, we've got a replacement driver so the only one hurt by this is Dan himself. Also it looks like Jan will be back tomorrow. With such a small field we need all the cars to be there.

I wonder how many people actually went today as the 10.000 is just an estimated guess by the promoter. I hope it will be more busier than the Masters, which was pretty empty to be honest. If they get just as many people as for the first Renault weekend in 05 they can be proud I think.

A person as impulsive as Dan has no business in a race car. Being a danger to himself is bad enough but he endangers all the other drivers, as well as, the spectators

Maybe if Dan ran a race a lot smoothly and conservatively and won (which I actually think under the right circumstances he could do, like Road America this year. Some better track position and he could've had it.), he might actually realize that maybe steady pace can really work.

But hey, he got runner up at RA by running wide onto the grass, outbraking drivers on the outside into Canada Corner, and almost running his teammate off, so what am I to judge! XD

www.autosport.be reports Heylen's car is fixed, and both he and Mario Dominguez have gotten some extra track time at 10am this morning

4th and final practice is about to get underway.

In regards to Dan Clarke being replace I was under he impression that Zolt Baumgartner was the Minardi reserve driver

why is Dominguez in the car instead of Zolt ?

Zolder is a track I know little or nothing about but I am currently watching the final practice session and find it a very interesting track until (as I was watching Gommendy) he came upon THAT CORNER !!!!

1982 I am talking about and the death of Gilles Villenueve , I was kind of spooked to see the footage of this corner and how it hasnt changed at all , the TV camera is even in the same position.

a very eerie feeling came over me as Gommendy powered on proabbly without giving it a thought , I guess thats why he is there and I am here.

Tough guys indeed

LOL , well yes they did add a chicane there , but the first part of the corner where Gilles first made contac with the other car looks exactly the same.

Im not saying the place is unsafe at all , it just shocked me a little bit is all

I think it starts at 1 pm my time, and the F1 race starts an hour earlier at 12pm my time I think because Turkey is 2 hours infront of UK.

Yes, it does seem to be an "oversight", although the Dutch race is next week, so they would have had to stay in Europe for 3 weeks if they didn't want to clash with F1.
