*****y Australians!
1. Parkes (Aus-Yamaha) 1'35"2; 2. Pitt (Aus-Honda) 1'35"5; 3. Rea (GB-Honda) 1'35"8; 4. Brookes (Aus-Honda) 1'36"3; 5. McCoy (Aus-Triumph) 1'36"4;
World Supersport is going to be fun this year! (And yes I realise this is on a track in Australia....) |

Year of the Aussie surly. Stoner will take his second title. Bayliss could take a third WSBK title. Possibly an Aussie WSS champion.

Im always at a bit of a loss over Parkes , he's quick but very inconsistant.
On another WSS note , whats up with kevin Curtain ? Will he back , Is he fit , surely he is one of the best riders we have even considering his age ? |

Its been year of the Aussi fo decades now to be honest, what we love is the fact that you have to keep telling us all the time, we watch the same footage as you, we see the same results as you!
Unless you are doing it, why shout!! Thats the great irony about Aussie race fans, the riders like Mick and Bayliss are totally humble about their achievements but the fans are not quite so reserved!! |

Thats F1 and a totally diffferent thing, F1 is far more in the public eye in this country because of our heritage and history surrounding the sport, and also a large part becasue most of the best companies invovled are based here!THe only time we all got really silly was with Foggy but I hasten to add it wasnt my bag standing with 90,000 people cheering on one bloke and ignoring everyone else!
There are some similarities between that but we just seem not to have the need to tell everyone else in the hope that hordes of our bretheren will come and join in too, "yes lets all tyell everyone how great our guys are" I know it better than most, and I dont need telling about it. I will always reply coz it makes the forum good fun! |

Wouldn't it be funny if Jonny Rea won the opening round?

Sad to see Bayliss broke his collar bone at the island while testing, hope he will be ok for the start of the season.

Would be hilarious if he makes a better fist of it than others though. Most superbike riders have blended into oblivion on GP bikes, even your beloved Troy!
God only knows how he won that race in Valencia coz for the two seasons before onm a GP bikehe was nowhere! Just shows what confidence does for a rider |

Well he was with Ducati for 2 years before his final year on the Camel Honda. The first year both he and Ducati were there was very successful, the second nowhere near so. The year at Honda he missed the final 6 races on injury.

Second rate Hondas that Barros and Max won races on!
Think Troy was on it in the first year with teh GP bike, indeed often quicker than Loris, but second year he lost his way a bit on a bike that was real hard to set up and maybe Loris experience saw him through a bit better, that and maybe the team knew they werent gonna keep Troy from early on so saw no reason to heklp him! He got back at them in the best way though! |

Calm down chunder!
Look at it from the Australian point of view. You live in a barren land, mingling with spiders and snakes and your country is a million years behind the rest of civilisation. You live in a Welsh desert in effect. Of course you are going to get excited when one of your boys/girls wins something at international level! |

Barros won A RACE in the WET on that Camel Honda, and Troy was running what? Fifth or Sixth untill he dropped it?
Biaggi was riding before the entire team went down the tube. Apples and Oranges, mate. |
