hmm...have a look at this, from autosport.com...

...There is even the possibility that 25-year-old Englishman (Taylor) may be drafted into the final round of this year's series at Texas as back-up for reigning champion Hornish as he tries to win his third consecutive title.

Now THAT would be great to see. It makes sense too, as Panther could use another driver to try and take points off the other contenders.

They did it last year, with another promising driver...and een if the effort was diluted, it may just have helped that little bit...

I think this is just autosport hype rather than reality.
Mark hasn't even tested an IRL car yet (Oct 1st at Texas),
so to imagine he could step into the couldron of a championship shoot out and help Sam is I am afraid a bit fanciful. He has had a phenomenal season in IPS - looks good for the second Panther seat so lets look forward to another Brit in a competetive seat in the IRL next year!
