GT300 performance adjustment test on March 1 (Fuji) was postponed for snow again. Alternative schedule is announced later.

That's insane fast. I was just going to link to this report too! You're fast Samurai-San! Can you translate what they say about the Epson? I guess the cars this year will be very fast, especially seeing the HSV beat the record time by over a second from 2007 in the NSX.

Samurai (or anyone who are able to watch the races): How would you rate Björn Wirdheim against the other GT500 drivers? I am a fan but it's very hard to get any information in Sweden, it seems like most people have forgotten about him since he hasn't raced in europe for a while.

Interesting.
A 40Hp increase in power wouldn't make that kind of jump in performance. I wonder if that information is correct. This was a private test after all, I don't remember Honda ever disclosing track times in private tests.

Edit: After checking those HSV pictures in the links above, it seems that the rear wing spec shown is bigger and/or more inclined (more angle from horizontal), resembling the pre 2009 ones. Pheraps that could explain the fast time. I don't remember reading from JS any changes for 2012 GT500 regulations apart from restrictor expansion. Maybe we'll have a surprise?

He's certainly a very good, solid driver. Title winning level actually. I don't remember him making any silly driving mistakes unlike many others there.

BBSB- drivers were there and tweeted about the 1:48 time. One driver from Nissan said "Lots of lap records will be broken this year"!

Wow ! 30 entries ! Even with 3 or 4 not making it, that must be an all-time record. Let's see...
-The interesting thing is that the JAF cars that were supposed to be out (Shiden, Garaya, IS, Vemac, good ol' Taisan 996) are still here.
-APR has an Audi as their second entry, but I don't see the #74 car, does that mean that there will be no TDP Junior team ?
-Also, what will be the Tsuchiya #25 car ? I loved the 911 RSR but is it still allowed ?
-Is the #66 Vantage still allowed as well ? I know they will switch to a Vantage GT3 later on, but I thought the GT2/GTE were out. Does that mean that JIM Gainer will be able to field their 458 as #10 ?

Autosport SGT report

**Honda Fuji test report
-Honda introduced new rear wing stay. It is V-shape neck. It aims at drug reduction.
-Honda reduced the opening area of front air intake.
-Honda made the small radiator standard spec. Honda changed the manufacturer of the radiator into the product with sufficient cooling efficiency.
-Honda will introduce an air-conditioner this season. The loss by this is about 1 km/h. They are examining the mode in which it operates only at the time of the off-throttle.
-In the Fuji test on March 8-9, a new rear fender will be introduced.
