Yep - there were several posts about racks and the posted vid is in relation to those.

Depending if the brake and bearing issue are both at the front, perhaps the 1000 will be the first full upright change for the brake change. Maybe the bearing issue is causing excessive knock off?

There shouldn't be any new homologation in the near future though.

Alfa Romeo, BMW, Nissan, Mercedes, Nissan, Volvo, MG, Toyota, Lexus and any other potential new entrant will need to be calibrated against existing players.

And the existing players adjusted if required to sustain parity…

its almost like manufacturers don't want to spend a couple of million bucks to go racing in a bespoke series with a shrinking audience when there's other more accessible sandpits to play in....

More Wheels falling off

Speedcafe protecting the team… who may or may not have locked out the front row at Sandown… why the secrecy..?

Wheel nuts are smaller now, different spindles, different wheel rims.. an odd use of electric drills to tighten wheel nuts.. which one is the cause? Or more than one..

Interesting, so it wasn't human error for the Tander machine.

This isn't what I have heard from within the paddock.

But still surely you need a failsafe so even a wheel that isn't perfectly tightened or missing a clip can't come off at speed.

I do have a serious question though - Tander describes feeling the wheel was loose or something was bending, but he didn't pit?

It all happened pretty quickly for Garth and he was in 4th or 5th position so reluctant to give in, but I think I remember hearing in the telecast GT asking the engineer and the engineer couldn’t see anything wrong with the car data.
