GTI Cup Series
I know that VW runs series in other parts of the world. Now, the USA will get one.

I've seen the VW Cup a few times on tv over here, on Sky Sports "World Motorsports" Not sure if it is the same thing or not but if it is then it has potential to be a good series I think, normally over here you get quite a varied selection of cars.

There is a VW GTI series in Dubai although I do not think VW Motorsport is involved. Maybe this series gave them the idea to make a global product. No price mentioned on the PR though.

In Poland, where I live, there was a VW Golf cup, but it was with TDI engine. The same Golfs run in Netherlands in some endurance series.
