On a serious note, I love the sense of camradery you find in sportscars. After reading all this stuff about McLaren this week, it makes me think back to Le Mans last year where one of the Porsche's was running with a door from another team.

That was a Ferrari my friend. The Number 90 car was running with the Lime Green Krohn door that had a 90 decal placed on it.

It was not the other Risi car and may well have been the Farnbacher car. It was a white Ferrari and not a red one in any event.

There was also Le Mans 2007, Team Modena were running with a AMR rear wing.

I'm a bit suprised that the zytek is on pole,that is not a bad thing.I hope that we will have a close race tomorrow.that we won't see,because of the idiots at the ACO.tomorrow is going to awesome.we still have live coverage of F1,superbike,indycar,nascar.i like these weekends.

Of course its the ACO's fault we cant watch it - they are responsible for whatever TV package contract they choose to sign. The amount of live coverage should have been tied down properly or Eurosport should not have been given an exclusive deal.

Unfortunately, he flat spotted one of the front tyres during qualifying. They have to start on the qualifying tyres. This probably has more than a little to do with the 'conservative' start.

First to pit, Tom Coronel, a problem at the left rear, oil on the tyre it seems. The car is rolled back into the box. Coronel apparently spun and clipped a Porsche.
