If nothing else, have a spare Judd on hand so you can race the car while you work on the diesel lump. I do have a soft spot for Radical, and would love to see this thing do some more racing, aside from its outing at Laguna Seca.

Entry list for Silverstone, on the LMS site shows Gigawave Motorsport entering a DBR9 with Ryan Sharp and Peter Kox driving.

And there is an extra 997 GT3 RSR, entered by JWA, driven by Markus Palttala, Paul Daniels and Martin Rich.

Excellent news about the Gigawave Aston

It's wishful thinking but it'd be fantastic to see a couple more GT1 cars as this is pretty much the last race for current GT1 cars in le mans series spec. (Bar Asian races of course)

Is Eco on the enrty list . Now , here is a perfect oppertunity to show what they have achived in 5 years ..... without having to cart the car half way across the world , cuz Silverstone is on their door step .

I will be very interested in seeing exactly what they can achive , before launching my opinion .

All going well for Gigawave , they could well end up with a win .

Great news, an Aston win in GT1 would be welcome. And with Sharp and Kox behind the wheel anything is possible. Fantastic to have another entry in GT1 though especially as its a DBR9.

One last Aston Martin / Corvette (/ Saleen) battle before what looks like the end of it.

A truly wonderful chapter in GT racing is ending. It was a great ride though while it lasted. The new GT2 upgrades for the future look great too and I'm looking forward to that.

With luck, maybe someone can pick up the Vantage after Drayson and try to make it work and we could have the good ol' battle again.

In part I'm happy Corvette has moved to GT2. More diversity is better. GT1 was quivering away with the passing of the years but in reality, whenver we had 2 makes at each other, we only needed 2 cars to have a brilliant fight.

I do hope it does race but I've heard they will be using the other car at the FIA GT race on the same day

My mistake-I misread a post on another thread! Fingers crossed they'll be there then-they're still on the entry list.

DSC's small piece on the fire mentions LAA wanting to give the UK fans one last Corvette v Aston showdown, so I'd imagine we will see them for the final LMS race.

The 004 is the car they've run in the LMS all year anyways, and the team scored double poles for this weekends upcoming FFSA GT races!

Can anyone confirm whether or not AMR have continued with the direct injection engines in the Le Mans Series post Le Mans, or have they reverted back to the non DI spec engines they were racing pre Le Mans?

Thank you.........

Aston Martin's site:
Quote:
Engine
• V12 Aston Martin – based on the original DB9 road cars i.e. block and cylinder heads.
• Dry sump lubrication, twin over head camshafts and four valves per cylinder
• Capacity: 6000cc (6 litres)
• Power: 650+ bhp (Power to weight ratio 720+bhp/tonne)
• Torque: >700Nm
• Max. RPM: 7500

But i don't know when this was updated.

I cannot think why they would revert to a non-DI engine... hope not anyway - looking forward to sitting at Club listening to them go past.

Interesting article about the Aston DI engine in Race Car Engineering this month.

Oreca filled a complaint about it, because it wasn't a part of the original DBR9 Engine, which the LMP1 engine is homologated as.
