Top 5 Fastest road Courses?

Myself and my racing team just finished racing in the 32nd annual Vintage Festival at Mosport, and we came accross talking about the fastest road courses in the world.

Im not sure on the order it would go, but Mosport seemed to be in the catagory as one of the fastest road courses in the world.

Would the Numbers go like this?

1. Circuit de la Sarthe
2. Spa Franchorchamps (Sorry for the spelling)
3. Monza
4. Mosport International Raceway
5. ? I have no idea?

Please let me know. Any input on each track woulde be great.

Watkins Glen would be up there, especially with the shorter NASCAR layout, as would perhaps the old Reims-Gueux course?

Last year, the Argentine TC2000 (FWD, 330hp) ran at the Buenos Aires number 12 layout at 209 km/h average. It's 5.640 km long, has a hairpin, a chicane, a fast esses and a high-speed corner.

The best way to compare speeds is to take F3 or 911 GT3 Cup laps.

Enna Pergusa would be pretty quick. Lots of straights plus some ultra quick chicanes.

It depends on the car obviously, but the new Silverstone Arena layout at last years F1 race was giving an average speed of about 147mph per lap.

I also would have thought Thruxton would have been up there.

Castle Combe was also pretty quick, however the chicanes have slowed things a little.

In an F3 car Thruxton is actually slightly faster than Monza.

Castle Combe used to be the same as Thruxton until they introduced the chicanes.

Doesn't Thruxton hold the outright UK record (bar Rockingham)?
