Mike - Is it possible that if a GT3 did run G56 that development could be opened up to create a low down force set up? I would assume since it's running out side of its own rules environment and G56 has no rules, the team might want to and have the ability to trim out the aero.
Of course I know it won't happen as there's no technological interest in a GT3 car, just asking |

In a hypothetical world in which that happened then yes, if the ACO agreed. Heck, if they agreed then they could stick the engine from a space shuttle in it. Admittedly, space shuttles are old technology, so that wouldn't really be G56 relevant. Which takes me full circle.

I would like to see 6 cars in the 56 garage, 3 DTM (1 Mercedes, 1 Audi and 1 BMW) and 3 GT 500 (1 Honda, 1 Lexus and 1 Nissan)
You only should subtract 5 GTE-AM |

Judging by the top speed achieved by nissan and lexus at fuji, more than "special guests" GT500 cars could be faster than work lmp1 at le mans.

I think he means the body being put over spec chassis that every car shares.

2014 FIA World Endurance Championship
I say we give G56 entry to someone who's willing to enter a McLaren F1 GTR . Long tail or short tail it doesn't matter.
I can't see many people arguing with that |

Original Trans Am cars had unitbodies with front and rear tube frame clips. Then in the 1980s they became tube frame silhouette cars.
I don't know about the current Trans Am cars, but from what little I heard there's a mix of modified unitbody and pure tube frame cars. |

FYI, heard a commercial on the radio promoting the CotA event. What was funny was USCC was called the "Tudor United States Sports Car Championship"

Hot on the heels of today's fantastic news about Corvette Racing, arguably an even bigger story coming in via Sportscar365. Extreme Speed Motorsports enters an LMP2 HPD in the FIA WEC round as well!
http://sportscar365.com/lemans/wec/e...ck-tusc-entry/ Two huge TUSC names trying out FIA WEC for the Austin event... this begs the question, who's next? |

SRT, bet on it.
I guess there will be a round of the American Le Mans Series after all this year! |

Love it! Glad to be going. I wonder what tires ESM will run on? These two entries announced today are a slap in the face to Daytona IMO, teams are voting with their cars. Krohn should run in GTE-Am instead of GTLM, bigger race and a better chance of victory.

I hope ESM remembers that it's a 6 hour endurance round, and tune down their engines some.

I just hope the race gets attended this year. But then again if it fails they might to another track here in America like Road America, Sebring or even Watkins Glen. Even thought its more likely they would simply not come to the USA unfortunately. And go to another Tilkedome track in a third word country whose rich barons can pay the sanctioning fees.

The word is spreading like wild fire here at RA that attendance speaks volumes, and Road America needs the WEC.
