Brands 21/22 September
Can anyone tell me who the organising club is for this meeting and who do I contact to find out if I can marshal at this meeting. I am still a trainee marshal and am trying to get as much experience as I can.

its MGCC (MG car club) - no paperwork received yet, but even as a novice, if you've got an RAC licence to get through the gate and a set of (insert colour here) overalls, I'm sure you'll be made welcome.
It'll probably be somebody like Alex Spooner doing the sign on anyway. Last edited by Bodysnatcher; 13 Sep 2002 at 15:46. |

Hi Novice, as Chief Marshal of the MG Car Club, I can assure you that you will be most welcome at Brands Hatch for our 2 day meeting on September 21/22, and I have sent you a personal message to this effect.
To everyone else that has volunteered their services at this meeting, the paperwork including passes was posted out today. If there is anyone else that can help out, please get in touch with me. We will welcome marshals of all grades and disciplines. John Watson MG Car Club (www.mgcc.co.uk) |

Thanks guys. Received your mail tonight John and have responded. Body Snatcher worked with you on that 3hr UniRoyal race at Druids, I think we were one of the only posts to have anything to do.

Novice - if you go to the front page (tentenths.com/forum) at the very bottom of the screen there is a little text link for "log out"
If you click on that, it will log you out. Refresh the page and at the same position on the bottom of the page, you should see a text link for "log on" - click on that and enter your user name and password. Hope this helps, and have a great time at Brands! |

I'll be there as a spectator - I'm a Triumph driver sitting out the rest of the season due to too many blown engines...
I do intend to do at least one days Marshaling this year at Brands, and will be as novice as they come - except for seeing some of what goes from inside the car of course. Stephen, I think, has given me all the details for Marshaling at Brands in the past, but unfortunately I'll be doing the 'host' thing this weekend and (hopefully) drinking beer...Mind you, I'd better get my act together before it gets really cold. |

I am sure you would be welcome on any post Richy Rich. I'll try and look you up Stephen, I know many of the faces but not many of the names. Although in time I will probably get to know a lot more.
Brushpusher I believe you had a magnetism for car 89 in the Uniroyal thing. Was you offering free beverages to the driver that stopped there the most? |

Assuming it's not raining I'll be the one in the red trainers.

aww Jeez, Stephen, not one of your new age group hug thingies is it? Did'nt that style of management go out with the 90's? Damn those red trainers - they've got a lot to answer for.
I'll see you lot there if I'm not distributing spare parts elsewhere. AlanV - that "novice" nom de plume is going to get dated...... |

No points for originality then from you 2 saddos - well actually, I'm only supposing you is a saddo Dave, Stephen I knows is.
I thought it was a brilliant idea - then I don't have to go around asking peeps if they're also known as wiggles/brushpusher etc. can be a trifle embarassing, what we need is a secret handshake or sumfink...like the embroidered 10/10 badges Whatever happened to them? Stephen? |

Well Body Snatcher your right Novice will soon be outdated, 2 signatures and a training day to go
I'll have to try and think of a new one when I upgrade or I will always remain a Novice Stephen I will be in the Kentagon for brekkie so if you see someone walking round looking at peoples footwear, your red trainers, that will be me |

Very very short on sew on badges folks I'm afraid. Just a couple here and I'm holding on to them for my own use
I do have baseball caps available should anyone want one but I would have to charge for these I'm afraid. Mail me if anyone is interested. |
