What was the actual question asked?

Matt Neal suggesting on twitter that a familiar face could be appearing at Thruxton this weekend. Perhaps Shedden? Of course it could just be someone floating around the paddock

Sounds like a special livery to some degree for Ingram and Chilton, and Ingram will run #100

it helps if you read the whole thing properly it said its been carrying the retro livery all year The Team BRISTOL STREET MOTORS programme being run in the BTCC by EXCELR8 Motorsport has already had a major role to play in the centenary celebrations, with the cars of Tom Ingram and Tom Chilton both carrying a retro-themed livery with a ‘100 Years Of Bristol Street’ message. |

TEAM BRISTOL STREET MOTORS REVEALS SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY LIVERY FOR 2024 BTCC CAMPAIGN
"A special livery has been created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the motor retailer brand, [...] In a first for the team, the new livery broke cover in front of a gathering of passionate BTCC fans, who came together for a special launch event, hosted by presenter Kirsty Gallacher and held at Caffeine & Machine near Stratford-upon-Avon." |

To be honest, none of the press releases have ever said what is 'retro' about this year's full-season livery. To be 'retro', I would have thought it had to emulate a previous livery, or have some cues which were distinct to a particular era.

I'm sure I saw in one of the video interviews from the car launch that the 'retro' is more to do with the old Bristol Street Motors colours.
I remember having a used Escort and a used Orion with their dealer stickers in red, white and blue? Could it be that? |

To be fair, the livery looks fine how it is. But the one off livery looks nice too

I expect the Beemers to go well here. Should be in for some great racing all the same

Astras have always had their best showings here (and Silverstone) and also should suit the Fords and Toyotas. |

Thompson out…
“Unfortunately, due to financial complexities outside of WSR’s and Bobby Thompson’s control, it will not be possible this weekend to run the #19 BMW that was driven to a superb podium finish at Snetterton. WSR continue to work hard with the team’s commercial partners to put Bobby back in the BMW as soon as possible.” https://www.touringcartimes.com/2024...-btcc-weekend/ |

Do we think the 4th BMW will be out this weekend with a different driver? After Bobby Thompson confirmed he won’t be driving this weekend.
Could that be the ‘familiar face returning’ that Matt Neal was alluding to on socials? |

So disappointed for Bobby after an excellent debut at Snett , just hope something can be properly sorted so he can be back for the next round.

The same day I think he also tweeted about Bobby taking a win at Thruxton, so obviously thought he was still driving then.

I don’t know why this seems to happen so frequently in motorsport. You never hear about a football team (or another sport?) having to pull a sponsor due to them not paying…?
