Mark Blundell - 'The Will to Win'

Here is a montage I finished last year for Mark.
It shows his Le Mans and F1 cars with his CART Reynard from '97. I have called it 'The Will to Win' which Mark always had on the back of his helmet.
This took many months on and off as it is such a large painting - 50 x 37ins. It is displayed in his offices in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. Hope you like this one too!

Junior Senior should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Shame there is not enough room for the Abbey Life RF85 and the Middlebridge Cadbury Reynard F3000..... then again, how big is the wall in Mark's office??!!

As usual, tremendous stuff, Andrew.

Thanks JS. Mark only wanted his F1, LM and CART Reynard in the picture. I have painted both cars you mention before - the RF85 on the FF Festival print, the Cadbury F3000 car I painted in '89 for Mark. I was reminded of that car at the recent F.Renault test at Snett. One of the Renaults was a look-alike with Cadbury backing. Just did a search and found the painting here

Thanks Ayse, I am particularly pleased with it as it is such a large montage at 4ft 2ins wide. Each car is about 13ins wide and I must admit it looks really good framed up on Mark's wall in a nice modern 'chunky' black frame. Framing is so important and when properly done really shows off the work well. It is hanging in the reception area to the Blundell's offices.

I followed Mark a bit, as he was one of that little group of FF runners along with Herbert, Hill and co, who moved on up together. I have a very nice photograph of the Abbey Life FF1600 somewhere taken at the Complex at Thruxton.
