To my dissapointment McLaren has agreed to continue with their drivers and re-signed them for next year. Read it and weep at http://www.f1-live.com
This means they are the longest driver-pairing in history! I know people find this amusing, I don't, it makes F1 boring, not only do we see the same team at the top every year but the same drivers. There are so many talents in F1 and F3000 that never get a fair shot, with the new trend of teams building a long relationship with drivers makes this hard for young talents. The same goes for Ferrari using Schuey for the 5th season, and probably Barrichello for 5 more years. So you better prepare for a MS,DC,RB,MH top four for the next couple seasons...yawn. |

It will be kind of boring to see DC and MH using the same silver suit once again....I partially agree with Lauda's declarations that Mika should look for a challenge because (although it seems he wont pull it off this year) it would be very boring to see him win the championship again.

By the end of the season Hakkinen will not be driving for McLaren in 2001. Otherwise it's Zzzzzzzzzzzz.

Sour grapes I say- they both deserve to be there (well, maybe not Mika in light of his performance this season).
Actually the prospect of Alesi and Panis in Mac's next year is making me drool into my key$&^$&44 (oops, short circuit) |

And on top of this, Ron Dennis said they will keep thier drivers until retirement! That means that my prediction earlier was true, the same top four until at least 5 years...
This is getting silly really... |
