The #3 car has been the faster of the two so far this weekend as well. So much for those upgrades, unless they haven't been trying that hard.

I wonder what pace that Rebellion can run with a race set up relative to Toyota. We do have to remember that they were fastest overall in FP3 and Toyota will undoubtedly lose more pace relative to qualifying come the race.

It does sound nice.
That shot at 1:33. Loud Rebellion and loud Ford when suddenly a wild RSR appears! RSR uses flat six howl. It's super effective! |

That Oreca chassis is a good base. The aero on the car (at least the top aero) doesn't look like it's a big change from the lmp2. Wider rear wing and diveplanes. But 100kg lighter than the p2 car and 100hp more definitely helps out. No wonder they're so fast. Once they get this car together, look out. Same thing with the other private cars.

Not a bad debut I would say. Best of the privateer P1s, good pace and not too many big problems. They will feature at Le Mans I'm sure of it.

If not for a couple of problems and if they were a bit quicker in the pits, they should be right where they need to be. They already were today keeping Toyota honest.
Maybe going back to a halfway house between Prologue and Spa EOT might help as well. |

There's no need to do that. They go back to the EOT and the car continues it's forward progress it'll leave Toyota in the dust. That's not what the equivalence is supposed to be. I'd love to see these cars let loose a little more, but they'll be too fast for the EOT that's already preset for the Toyota.

I wouldn't say that. I do know Toyota won't be getting a boost. As far as I have read they have their EOT set in stone and the privateers are tinkered or altered to meet that. We'll see what happens in the coming weeks.

I hope Ginetta will be back at LM because this is the best looking LMP1 for me.
As cool and fast the Rebellion is, all I can see, when I look at any Oreca are Les Shadoks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8cf...cVYCVrHFB_IrBl |

“We’re allowed to use 2.66 [kg of fuel per lap] but we were using mostly on average 2.60 just to be safe, because we lifted ourselves… we had to guess by ourselves,” he said.
“So already we lost a lot of time on each lap… and that was for sure a big-time loss for us.” http://sportscar365.com/lemans/wec/j...aving-tactics/ Hmm... |
