What a lovely set of photographs Bauble, in particular the David Piper Ferrari 250 GTO and the fourth picture of the last group of pictures, the Maserati Tipo 61 Streamliner, a car well worth googling for it's fascinating history.

Almost as interesting is it's driver, Willi Balz, who as well as owning a wonderful collection of racing cars, was one of the pioneers of wind power in the North Sea. Sadly Willi was jailed for fraud and delaying insolvency a few years ago, which might explain why we haven't seen him at Goodwood for a while...

Crikey Bob, give me a chance. Due to the time difference I only just saw them an hour or two ago. (Posted at after 4am my time!)

Great pics Percy, and selection too. It inspired me to look up the GTS series online. They seem to get pretty big and varied grids, though the article I read was a couple of years ago.

What we would refer to as Group S Sportscars over here, not that we would see many Couriers, and even less P1800s. Thanks for sharing.
