STCC Race 11: Mantorp Park (Final Round!)
Final round of the Swedish Touring Car Championship this weekend at Mantorp Park. Ekblom is already the champion (first three-time champion also, well done "lad"), but I think we'll get a great weekend none the less.

* Karlsson back with the Chevrolet
* Slim Borgudd in Radical
* JWRC champion Patrik Sandell in JTCC, 20+ cars expected on the grid
* Mattias Ekström to do a couple of laps with his DTM Audi
* JAS demo (hope they don't crash *again* )
* Carrera Cup likely to have a strong field (about 20 cars perhaps?), title decider between Edward Sandström and Cralle Lindholm.
* Peugeot to do a demo for their new 206 Spyder Cup

Oh, and I'm going. I've managed to get my hands on a pair of VIP tickets from KMS/ES so I'll get free admission, grandstand seat and food - thank you Sandström

Final indeed it is. Currently at the track it is raining heavily, but the report say that it could be dry for the race tomorrow.

i still have my stcc2 pc game which is briliant but i can't play it cos it keeped on freezin up on my dads computer-can anyone rememind me what the track with the first corners looks like turkey f1 track as i can't remeber what its called

Göransson tops first Mantorp test
Richard Göranson topped the final morning test of the Swedish Touring Car Championship 2007. His time 1:34.065 was 0.155 seconds faster compared to his closest opponent, Robert Dahlgren. "We have tried a lot of diffrerent settings today. The car feels really nice now and you all know how much I like this circuit," said Göransson.

Third quickest was Norwegian Tommy Rustad in his Opel Astra. His time was 0.165 seconds slower than Göransson with newly crowned champion Fredrik Ekblom in fourth and team mate Robin Rudholm fifth.

Qualifying starts at 12.30 CET.

What a start, all top runners off on the first lap! Engström leads Davis Björk, Andersson, Rustad, Sturesson!

Göransson, Rudholm, Dahlgren retire, Flasha nd Ekblom rejoins way down the order!

3 wide on the straight and Engström is off from the lead!

Frid in privateers cup up to 6th!

Karlsson in the Chevy even more bad luck, blown engine by the looks of it.

I was suppose to be there, meet some of you and watch races. Couldn't.

Anyway, what a race, what a results, what have happened on first lap? Was it raining? Sorry mates didn't watch race on telly.

A simple case of over running the first corner, I guess. No rain, altho it was some wet parts towards the edge of the track. The 2 WCR BMWs went in hard in the first turn and they all got tangled up, taking off Flash, Göransson and Dahlgren in the process.
