Could be a half-interesting race with more than a Rossi/Stoner battle at the front as no-one has track knowledge/race experience here...

Looking forward to it. But I have a feeling the track is going to be pants. Hope I'm wrong though! Maybe we'll luck out and get a good race...

hey there JH, I see you've gone native with the "pants" wording...funny...

on another topic, today I saw the comments from Hayden about his situation with Honda...feel bad for him with the situation he describes in the Autosport blurb. He is not the sort of guy to moan about stuff or do the drama queen route, so I took this at face value.
Yes he has not come to grips with this bike and I imagine they figure he is leaving them one or another so they have shut the door on him so to speak, too bad.

obviously would love to see him on a bike that could allow him to show his talent.

I as well dont think the layout at Indy will be that exciting, but who knows...cheers all

I think you might be watching a Spies Rossi battle. He had a little left, and his times on race tires are as good as Rossi. MIght be a huge suprise for everyone. He was a second a lap quicker than the Suzuki regulars, there must be some angst in Japan that they didn't sign him, he wanted Suzuki as his first choice, but they would pay him squat, and he's leaving.

The winner will be the best swimmer. Pouring down rain in buckets. I wonder if they will really run the race?

Rossi wins from Hayden. Race red-flagged 7 laps from the end as the wind got worse, which lead to real confusion as to whether there it was a result, or if a restart would be needed. The riders felt it wasn't safe and the result stood (I'd like to believe that those 2 facts are related).

Is the 250cc race going ahead, and are the BBC streaming it online?

Congratulations to Vale for his 69th win!
I have total respect for each and every rider who took the grid today. The conditions were horrendous and not a single fall. I was amazed that we ended up getting a race at all.

wasnt that great to see Hayden up there?! Bizarre race and for anyone who has ridden bikes, that wind must have been darn scarey, especially with it changing directions....that is real scarey on a bike, on a highway let alone racing...

btw-did they ever run the 250 race today Monday? Idont want to look too much for it on the internet to get the result (if any) spoiled...

The 250 race was cancelled completely. AFAIK there was no plan to run the race at a later time/date.

can you imagine the costs involved getting equipment, bikes, I imagine at least 4 or 5 team members over....ouch!!! and no race....

I understand the logistics of running an event, you have to have corner workers...all volunteers...ambulances etc....a hell of a lot of stuff that probably cant be held over to thenext day...what a shame tho for the racers and teams....

I worked security at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend. Saturday was nice, Sunday was horrible. Hurricane Ike messed it all up. But the people love the race and this track. Indianapolis gave the MotoGP a warm welcome. Its going to stay here for quite a long time I feel.

Best part working this weekend, I got to talk and hang out with Danica Patrick for awhile on Saturday.
