Well done to Tom boardman and team Varta in the second race at Brands Hatch. What happened to Jimmy Edwards in the other pug team Varta car.

Yes, well done Tom - win number six. If only the bloody car had been more reliable he'd have been right up there at the sharp end of the table

Jimmy is also suffering with reliability woes - the car was misbehaving all weekend

The team first got their hands on the car at 7am on Saturday at Snetterton and it was returned to Coventry immediately after the race. It was then rolled off the VLR truck on Friday evening at Brands and, unfortunately, still wasn't right. One problem after another was solved - including a broken starter motor which had to be replaced with one from Dan Eaves' road car - but unfortunately the lack of 'quality time' with the car showed. I believe the car is now with the team until the next race so I'm sure it'll be stripped down and screwed back together properly between now and then.

I ts a shame really as i firmly believe Jimmy would be right up there with the best of them given the right machinery. I dare say if Team Varta have it under wraps till Donnington it will be a whole new ball game. My team Varta advertising car will be at Donnington. But i will be away on holiday. Hope all goes well.

Did any of you see the coverage on Motors Tv when you got home? Toms car has a nice close up of the side with ten-tenths.com on the sill. Well done Motors TV, ten-tenths is now world famous
