We have been working on it for a while and I think the deal is a pretty good one for our members. I would doubt you could do a good a deal elsewhere!

Jan was talking about getting some that fitted, rather than the borrowed ones she's been using, so I think I might have her Christmas present sorted. I can almost see the excited look on her face when she opens it...

Good news & bad news!
Two-piece & made-to-measure overalls will be welcomed by a lot of people; however, the bad news is the prices! My current overalls, the 'old' BMMC style, made by H T Hughes, cost me £39.50. It looks as though, to get a similar specification (leg pockets, radio loop, epaulettes, etc.) it will be necessary to buy the more expensive GPX at a cost, including postage, of £54.05. Even the cheaper style, with postage, comes to £45.24. Not whingeing, just stating the facts! I do appreciate the big advantage to the club of not having to carry large stocks, especially of the sizes for which there is very little demand. |

We shopped around Dave and I still feel at the prices you mention they are about the best deal to be had. Obviously if you live in Kent and are able to collect it makes it a little cheaper but I appreciate that only applies to a very few marshals.

No idea. Try ringing AWS to ask, they should be able to tell you.

The HT Hughes overals will discontinue when stocks are exhausted. You can see the various styles of overals by going to the AWS website www.advanced-wear.co.uk and no, regalia officers will not carry stock as the idea is to reduce the stock burden on the club. We feel you will receive a better service by using AWS direct, they will handle all your needs and the overals will come with the clubs badge sewn on and our sponsors logos pretty much as before.

No problem KayBee.
I have become the first marshal to order under the new scheme when I bought mine yesterday. I have gone for the basic overal with my name embroidered and they should arrive in the post later this week. Nick from AWS was extremely helpful and is hoping to hear from many more members soon. |

But do you have to have badges and logo's on them in the first place ?? If the lack of badge/logo doesn't bother you then a pair from the show(if your going that is) should prove a little cheaper.......Especially late on sunday.. |

The price AWS are quoting for the BMMC is quite a bit below their normal retail price and so I doubt you will get them as cheap, even at the show.

Regalia officers will not carry stock of the AWS probans, but will carry samples of the overalls at events, so you can see, feel and inspected the good before you place an order with AWS.
Thankyou.. |

Whilst this may be a good idea, it was always good when the regalia officer had some stock. Lots of new marshals sometime turn up and want their overalls then and there, now they will have wait to have them delivered. Also if you rip your overalls and decide you wanted some on the day, again you will have to wait. Personally I think you may loose out on some sales. Is there no way regalia officers could just carry maybe a stock of 3, 1 medium, 1 large and 1 extra large?
