Hey Andy,

Mostyn Rutter was back in the Paddock last weekend at Brands when I raced there in the Classic Thunder. Mostyn had cleared the hay off the old Firenza that had been laying in the barn for 14 years and fetched her out. He was lying 4th when the Motor let go ;'(
He has asked Mike Seaman to rebuild it ;')
Great to see him back out and got the bug again, the same for Craig too ;') Us old boys still got it in us ;')

Standing for 14 years, maybe he should have changed the oil before he took it out! lol (joking honest!). Yes I was disappointed he never made the Group 1 race as I was looking forward to putting Camaro up against the Firenza.

Pics

i used to see the Mr + Mrs (Marshalls) around quite a bit in Portsmouth, as i used to work for the council and my working area was where they lived. I remember them having a toddler (girl i think), now obviously 20 something! Does anyone remember a Chris Rankin as I met him in 1996ish at university. He told me he also had a few races in Falken. Cant remember what car something like fiesta, escort or nova.

I have a couple of pictures somewhere, one at Mallory with me
overtaking(!), yes thats not a misprint!, Richard Sheppard. It was at the hairpin, I crashed a few hundred meters later. I will post them on here sometime

Knowing Mostyn that probably had top quality New Holland baler parts to make it sing, now it's going to for a trip to sunny Norfolk, that's going to be quick.

I'm really really glad to see these ol' boys getting back out with their original "mounts".

Not sure when, but Ray Kershberg is threating to bring his Metro out in CT.

As soon as the parts arrive from the 'States, I'm getting Harry sorted for some testing........

Allegedly, the parts are leaving Mooresville NC today.

Another set of seals should be leaving Knoxville TN later this week.

Target is the August CT round at Snetterton.

You need a caulking gun and some Loctite 5920. That'll fix it.

Be great to have another Good Old Boy with yet another different car on the Classic Thunder Grid
Looks like 2011 will be the best session for a long time for Classic Thunder, despite the recession

Just like old times

Will be great to see Ray and the Manta out again, had some excellent races together in Falkens.
Dragged mine out this year after a similarly long time in hibernation, although only did the 1 race after the V6 expired. But will be out at some point next year in CT with a V8 installed.

Al...you mentioned a while ago about a couple of V8 Capri's being prepared for CT, any more news?
Simon

Falken Mod prods

Hi there,

I used to race in the good old mod prods from 1989 to 1996.

Now, can you guess who I am?

A clue? I had a Sunbeam, which should narrow it down a bit.

Mike Marlowe, Bob Beaumont didnt race as late as 96 Al, Neil Hasler was in BRSCC super's and Craig had a sierra by then. My guess is either Phil Seaman or Nick Davies, probably Nick Davies.
