It seems weather may still be a bit unpredictable, but in a dry race an extra set of blacks may be key. Although money is still on Palou for the win.

Qualifying Result:

Honda are on top form, dominating qualifying and taking all Fast Six grid places. Will Power is top Chevy in 7th and despite taking the IndyCar pole record at Laguna Seca last year, hasn't got pole once this year.

It was wild, that's for sure, but I reckon Michael Andretti's crash in 1998 was more violent and dangerous - it was just dumb luck, really, that Andretti didn't slam into another car while crossing the track upside down.

So far decent race without much in the way of squabbles and incidents. Almost felt like F1 race but with actual passing on track but pit calls made the bigger difference

Pedersen definitely not earning future with other teams is he? Spent far far far too long blocking anyone from getting by, dude you just don't have it today concede and earn future respect

Race Result:

I thought that was a good race and after Alex Palou's third win in a row, he now has 377 points over team mate Scott Dixon, who has 267 points. Josef Newgarden is on 261. Marcus Ericsson is on 255 and just within contention is Pato O'Ward on 250.

With 8 races to go and despite Alex Palou's current form, there is still a long way to go in order to win the driver's championship.

Overall, that was another good result for Honda.

The weird thing about this was that towards the end of the race the commentators were complaining about Pedersen not letting people through and yet Rosenqvist who was also a lap down in that same pack of cars had a couple of cars behind him and they didn't say a thing. The commentators (Townsend Bell especially) seem very selective as to who they call out and who they praise.

Anyway, Palou and Dixon put on a masterclass. The remarkable thing with Palou is that on the red tires in that second stint after he had lapped Pedersen he was able to pull the gap back out on Herta even when the reds were finished. Hes just on a different level at the moment.

Decent race. Thought it was going to be a caution fest with the start but very clean after. Good, hard racing mid pack at the end.

Paulo looks untouchable, right now.

I was picking up drywall from home depot first, then expecting somebody to come over and help me work on boat, but that didn't happen. So i was doing kitchen remodel **** and missed the first 10 minutes or so.

Still a good race, Mid Ohio is a great track and Palou is in a world of his own. He needs and F1 drive next year. Pato was a stud today too, just passing everybody, then pitting, and passing them all again! a top 10 with an extra green flag stop is absolutely crazy. That was OWard at his best.

Can't believe Herta and Rahal were compromised in the pits. gotta put blame on Herta for his issue, but Rahal had 2 bad pit stops because of crew errors. sucks for him.

I don't listen to the NBC commentators anymore, I find IndyCar radio much better, so I listen to that while watching the race.

I watched the whole race live., but couldn't actually follow it due to extenuating circumstances.

Pato tried three stops and it didn't exactly work.

Palou is getting closer to his second IndyCar title. It would be sad to see him leave for F1, especially if he doesn't land a decent ride.

Think there could be a few open seats with the back of the field crew next year or even sooner, some are not moving forward but back as the season goes on. But nothing that would be a winner for Palou, chance to show his skill though
