I'v got to confirm that they have my entryfor Croix, finished my engine on saturday, had to pay pennance to the wife yesterday, got collard by my daughter today to help her lay a patio, must be bloody mad.
If all goes well I will have one engine and a spare for the Escort plus a full race Fiesta, just fitting a pair of 40s or 45vs,Arron reckons another 25 bhp just on the carb alone, got to find somewhere to test it,the people of Sidcup keep complaining about the noise etc!

18 names on the list so far, including Eric (although they have put your surname as Falco). Graham Bahr is down for testing only???

I am one of the non-drivers that will be going! Not going to miss Croix for love nor money! As the new girlfriend spends much of her working life around Europe, especially in France and Spain, looking forward to some culinary education!!
Hoping the racing will be as good as at Lydden.
Eric, you could always do a Pete Thurston and try the car on the A20, late at night. I used to road test my black Fiesta around the Bexleyheath side roads!! Gave the neon light brigade something to look at!

Falco!? Surly not the great 80's icon ? Another one with his own website Rod.

Although I can see the resemblence I can't wait to see all the disappointed fans when Eric arrives at the circuit

Liam22 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Hello TRC people

I'm involved in the Milltek Sport BMW Challenge which is a one-make saloon car series for the BMW E30 318/320. http://www.selocmotorsport.com/
We're on the same bill as you guys at Croix and some of us are keen to get as much track time as possible in France by entering the TRC races on Sunday. That is, assuming there is space on the grid - I know you're a well-subscribed championship.

Is this going to be possible? Can anyone help identify the right class for us and help with the entry procedure?

Cheers,
Liam.

Hi Liam.
Try sending Rod an email via his profile. He will be able to give you an idea of the class structure.

Space, the final frontier as they say, will be the deciding issue. At present we have about 20 entries, with several contenders still missing. Should have a clearer idea next week.

What is the grid limit at croix ? how many spaces are left ? Looks like we have 20 entries at present, but at least 3 of those look doubtfull - If they re the SELOC spec beemers, I would have thought class C or D - only class D if they are genuine road cars, and dependent on the tyres fitted. I would have thought most TRC people wanting to go would have filled out their forms by now !

Nothing realy wrong now, just had problems making it so that I can unbolt one engine and bolt the other one straight in.Two twin cams,no problem, except the mod to the bell housing will not let me fit a wet sump without changing the bell housing or sump, the exhuast system would not fit for some reason, oil pressure pickup union in block is a different size, the engine builders have used a different pulley system, the water temp unit will hit the catch tank, other than that, its all straight forward.

Grid size at Croix is "flexible" :-)
30-32 would be sensible IMO.

The Milltek (nee SELOC) cars are road legal with a few exceptions, e.g. number plates are sponsor branded but all must be capable of passing an MOT so have headlamps and heater etc. Tyres are road legal and E marked, Kumho V70A (list 1B).

Can anyone point me at an online copy of the regs?

Can't have mine. Hauser's got it. They tell me that parts for the next axle should be in the shipment due on Tuesday, then the new 9" is a priority job.

I was hoping to re-claim the Atlas and get it back under the car for testing, but they want to keep it to make sure that the 9" is truly bolt compatible.

New wheels will be a couple more weeks before they're with me (to fit the 9")

Somehow, I can't ever see myself living this one down.

I see you've got the regs now - Class D is roadgoing up to 2 litre - restricted mods, class C is up to 2 litre, but you can run fancy tyres etc. There are some B****dy quick cars in both classes e.g. Peter Wilkinson in C, Bill Richards, Jason Watkins, Les Beer & others in D , so really doesn't make much difference _ I would suggest class C - but then I run in class C. Still, for me to beat anyone, I need to keep it out of the tyre wall!
Hope you can join us - It doesn't have to be just for France - some interesting circuits still to come this year

We would fit Class D nicely if it weren't for our tyres. Class C it is then (with only 120bhp/ton we're gonna struggle in any class!). Will wait for the closing date before muscling in as BARC will help up fill the grid later without penalty.

We have a couple of clashes later in the year but Snetterton and Brands GP meetings look very interesting
