I've just tested the golf with a new set today on a sprint, All went ok but the rear end of the car seemed a little slippy, Once warm they were great.

Did you get to scrub them in a bit before hand?

ah ok, would be interesed how you get on with them after you've put a couple of miles on them. I'll be using them for sprinting also, what pressures are you running?

Just found out the reason for the slippy rear end, These tyres in my size are 195/55/15 insted of 195/50/15 so i raised the front of the car so it didn't rub forgetting to do the same to the rear so its hard on the front and soft on the rear, It makes the lap interesting. Oh the tyres are set to about 28psi

Yeh the R888's are just as good if not better and for 195/55/15 they are £70 each including VAT & delivery.
