I've just read that GA officially will not enter the 156 in the touring class.
I was looking forward to seeing the 2 cars, and now it ain't happening - that's the touring class down 2 more, but hopefully TD will announce a 2 car team soon!!??

No, read my seperate thread for news of Gary Ayles MSport. Neway, the following teams are entering;

TRIPLE EIGHT (VAUXHALL WORKS TEAM);

- Yvan Muller
- Jason Plato
- Tom Ferrier
- Possibly a fourth car for an 'experienced touring car driver'.

VIC LEE MOTORSPORT (PEUGEOT WORKS TEAM);

- Matt Neal
- Dan Eaves
- Steve Soper

WEST SURREY RACING (ROVER WORKS TEAM);

- No drivers confirmed as yet for second-half season assault, although Anthony Reid and David Leslie are favourites for the two cars. Simon Harrison also shortlisted.

JS MOTORSPORT (ALFA ROMEO);

- Enzo Macci
- Danny Wright
- Ted Riddick (TBC)
- A Fourth car is also planned to be fielded.

ABG MOTORSPORT (LEXUS)

- Kurt Luby
- A second car will be fielded for an unknown driver.

TEAM DYNAMICS (?)

- Will they enter or not?

That's your lot for this year's BTCT, im afraid. Expect over twice this in 2002, though!

JS are planning to enter cars in both classes, there wil be six in total.

I believe Janspeed are entering as well.

Can't see JS MSport running 4 alfas, let alone six. I heard they had abandoned plans to run in both classes and were just concentrating on BTCT. Also, Janspeed have joined forces with Gary Ayles Racing for an assault on the BTCP, and will not be entering the main Touring class.

Should be 4 Touring and 2 Production, although obviously the last few are dependent on what drivers and budgets are available.

In the Production class Cranfield will be running 3 ex-works Dutch TCC Carisma's. James Levy will drive one, a "touring car driver" the second (they would be more specific), and the third is up for grabs, again to whoever can raise the budget.

I soke to one of JS motorsports Team Directors at Autosport show, and he said that they were going to run the six cars. As Redshoes says, 4 Touring and 2 Production.

They were being very cagey about who was going to drive for them. The only names they would mention was Enzo Mucci as more or less confirmed, and Rob Collard as a possible.

He also seemed to think that Carl Foggarty hasn't completely abandoned the idea of racing for the team. Hmmm.

I dont think that Team Dymanics will be entering this year. As all their mechanics are working on Matts car for Vic Lee Motorsport.

Did you see their Super Touring Primera + race car transporter are for sale in Autosport? I thought the Primera was being mofified for the new rules and why do they need to sell the transporter when it looks perfectly good to me.

I thought Danny Wright was going to drive one of the JS Alfa's, and Ted Riddick another? I also heard that Rob Collard would re-sign with BSR to partnet Matt Kelly in the BTCP? Any help?

Spoke to Matt Neal today and he says Team Dynmanics is trying to sort deal with Nissan so don't write them off yet.
