Extreme difficulty accessing 10-tenths
In the past week, I have experienced, at times, extreme difficulty accessing 10-tenths. Is there some problem with the website?

Seems to be, I had trouble for several hours the other day and almost all today.

Just some growing pains.
I think the site is coming along brilliantly. It looks great, its easier to use, and the new moderators are a refreshing change. Keep it up I say. And if we have a little down time for the greater good, the I say "Bring it on"

The only time I've had a problem was at about 9.45 p.m. yesterday, when I couldn't access the forums at all. All seems fine now.

the only problem ive been having is that it is very slow and can take 5 minutes for a page to load

Yes, we've been encountering problems with the server again of late which have seen periods of downtime as we work on it in order to try and resolve the issue. As Wrex says, growing pains.

Thanks, I just wanted to know it is not my browser, nor my server.
One more question: I find it easy to browse the forum with IE but my Netscape seems to make the CPU work 100% and almost hang. Can anyone tell me why please. |

I also had a lot of problems in conncting to the site.
In fact, I haven't been able to contact it since 46 hours (partly due to my tight schedule). Luckily, this time the server didn't log the error responses as "succesful contacts", so I will be able to read what happened on this forum during the last 2 days. I think this situation is a very big improvement over last weeks problems. |

For some reason I've been getting database errors for the forums of late- it was particularly bad tonight as I couldn't get into the forums for a couple of hours.

In this case (today) I'd have to say there's nothing wrong with the server. I think I've actually managed to sort out the recent database problems at last, so perhaps it's your connection being a bit slow?

I get a database problem every so often. Its not everyday, but usually every 2 or so days.

I had a problem last night, but today it seems fine. I will put it down to growing pains.
P.S. Could we have the "printable version" selector nob back at the top again, please? When I'm copying things for the newsletter it'd make it easier. Thanks, Chris

I had problems accessing earlier today due to "Database error". As far as I can remember, this is the first time I've received this message, though from time to time the forum just won't load at all. Like Liz and Wrex, I will also assume it is just down to growing pains.

I've been getting database error messages for the past few days when I've tried to access 10 Tenths - same as everyone else, I'll assume it's growing pains!
