I think a small spot of editing is called for people - those on the other side of the channel (and others, I suspect) wouldn't want to see the entente cordiale spoiled for next weekend, eh lads?

Quite true.

Take a look at the back of the Benoist grandstand this year(If it's still there). The guy was a hero not only to France but to the UK as well.

Ok, well, let's talk about beer now.

Will beer be really banned in the restaurants and "buvettes" round the circuit ?

That's hardly fair...the winning drivers get to drink champaign!
Considering the trip to Le Mans would exhaust any extra funds for that fine drink, brew would be the only alternative, for the fans.

I hope to have a few Euros available for a glass of champagne - Le Mans wouldn't be Le Mans without it.

You may have a point but I for one can say that I spent a weekend in Madrid just over a year ago and was stunned by the architecture, quality of beer and food and how friendly everyone was...even when we beat some of them at the tenpin bowling place not far from the footie ground, I WILL be going back there!

Pascal - there is NO beer ban at LM for the 24 hours, that's for the bike meetings.
BUT as far as I can remember there is no alcohol on sale in the circuit bars before Friday. I have no idea why. bring your own!
