McLaren. They were 2nd and 3rd before the madness, and 2nd and 4th after. They handled it the best and had genuine pace.

McLaren did well irrespective of the chaotic race - but I'm voting Williams as a recognition of the end of an era........

McLaren
Were best of the rest all weekend with both cars running strongly. They were unlucky how the cards fell before and after the stoppage. |

McLaren without doubt, it is so good to see the rise from the near-obscurity they managed to achieve just a few seasons ago. Great work by AlphaTauri too.
Wouldn't it have been lovely to be able to vote for Williams.... ? |

Obviously I could have voted for Mercedes, but they are always dominant on pace. But this time they made a big (though understandable) error by pitting Hamilton when the pitlane was closed.
Ferrari have totally opted out of the Big 3 this year. Red Bull were also off the pace (no party mode?) leaving Mercedes as the Big 1. That leaves McLaren who were a very clear Best-of-the-Rest despite the general closeness. They continue to get better as the season progresses, so are a worthy Team of the GP. |

McLaren. Even with the safety car and red flag McLaren were up the front all weekend.

McLaren get the nod - I wasn't expecting them to be that far up and with better luck they could have won it. They seemed to be the only team where both cars were performing well.
Minardi did well too - seeing how quickly Kvyat was going on the hard tyres after his early stop prompted the Gasly stop - and that proved to be a masterstroke (albeit with a healthy dose of good fortune). At the other end of the scale - Ferrari had a woeful qualifying session and somehow managed to have an even worse race. Mercedes translated an utterly dominant car and a 1-2 start into 5-7 finish - that has to be their worst weekend for some time. Red Bull seem to have built a car far worse than Alpha Tauri - harder to drive and less reliable. I wonder what Max could do in that car? |

The last time Ferrari had a double DNF at Monza, was in 1995 when Alesi and Berger were driving.
