Looks good, i'll certainly try it out this year, although i'd imagine it gets pretty busy?
Thanks again, Gav |

Welcome Yes, that's what it's called. And it's a great place to watch (provided that you haven't got any French film-makers in residence this year!). You may be able to get a ticket "on the gate" - inside the circuit somewhere, anyway. But I always get mine in advance. |

Join the ACO and you can get in there for free.

Sure Liz? That was certainly the case 2 or 3 years ago, but my membershop hasn't got me in there since then - I've always had to buy (well "obtain" ) a Welcome ticket.

Yes, I got into the Welcome area with just my ACO card last year and in 2001 as well.

We normally get into the pit line area without any pass, there is a way if you know how. Only works for practice, not the race.

I am in the pits grandstand this year as usual. We find the view great. You only have to stay in your place for the first and last hours, after then you can wander anywhere and get close views of any of the pits. From the back of the stand you can see the exit of the Porsche Curves and the Ford Chicane. The pits stand also gives access to the rear paddock / hospitality area behind the pits and one or two bars that are usually less busy than those in the village.

I have a plan this year to get on the grid. Does anyone know where I can hire 6 majorette outfits?

I have to admit that I can't wait to watch the race from pits grandstands : this is a first time, we took the other side before...
We use to be there for PQ : the only place without fences (with Welcome roof), it's definitely worth it !!! |
