Just decided to go to lemans as I can now get the time off work.
2 questions........ Can you definatly but tickets at the gate and are you allowed to sleep in the car in the car park or do you have to have a camping permit......... Thanks for the help and happy racing...... |

You can definitely get GA tickets on the gate, and that's really all you need. People sleep everywhere and anywhere; I don't think anybody will be checking to see. If you want to get a camping ticket you might try Club Arnage website. There are a few coming in as the race gets nearer. Don't go to eBay; people are funding their next car with the prices they sell them for.

I slept in my car in 2000 without any problem, Finn.
If you're a newbie, try Red (closer to Dunlop) or Blue (Close to Maison Blanche) park (you'll have a parking lot ticket at the gate too) for the first time, and mind to go there not too late on saturday morning (the earlier, the better). |

as Guy said above, you can buy car park on the gate, and you can also buy what they call "supplement bivouac", meaning you can pitch your (small) tent near your car
it's not a campsite (no toilet facilities for example) but it's better than nothing you can also sleep in your car, or even not sleep at all ... and of course you can have GA tickets anytime you arrive and don't forget the TT meetings when you're there! |

Just another reminder people that sleeping during the 24 Heures itself has been banned by the ACO. Any person found asleep during the race, whether in a car or otherwise will be fined and ejected from the circuit........ Sleep? Sleep during the most important 24 hours of the year? You have got to be kidding........... |

FYI : I was at ACO's desk this afternoon ; there's still Beausejour and Technoparc camping places available. Try a phonecall, they speak English.

So just to get this all clear for a LM virgin who has spent the last couple of days viewing, PlanetLeMans, Beermountain, etc and of course 10/10ths
No problems getting general admision tickets on the day Camping tickets for Beausejour still available from ACO or car park + bivouac possible loads of tickets available on "that auction site" may be some bargains if preapred to hang on. Could these be fakes though ? |

I'm sending this over to the Sportscar forum to be merged with the relevant threads on Tickets, accomodation, who's going and the like to stop any overlap between the two forums

Also we are coming from NZ so can only camp if facilities are provided (we can't carry tents or bags)

"Parking, stands, welcoming areas : although most of those spacs and installations are posted complete at this moment, the phone number of the reservation departement of ACO is : 0 892 697 224 (from France mind the prefix). And by e-mail : ticket@lemans.org".
That was posted in the Le Mans thread by Laurent, coming from ACO. Try it. |

For next year, let's talk about it in the last days of June, we'll be more focused I'll open a "2006" thread, you'll just have to ask again, and we certainly could give some piece of advise then... |
