Would love to see a decent update from them like Porsche and Audi have done. Just show us a piece of carbonfibre to get us all excited.

Great to see Nick remain in the series and also Beche move up to what will likely be the 'lead' car.
Biggest question is who sits in the second car. |

toyota racing: enlarged RV8KLM + hybrid systems rebellion racing: enlarged RV8KLM + nothing |

I thought the TS030's engine shared almost nothing with the RV8KLM? Apart from both being 3.4 liter V8s?

I would be surprised if they can get that engine out to 4.5 to 5 litres considering it started life as a purpose built 3 litre Indycar engine.

Got all my fingers crossed for them. The WEC needs this team and should take every step to help them.

The sad thing is Rebellion probably hasn't had anything to do with this delay!
Being that it's Oreca who's building the cars. |

I still think they should have gone with DOME. For all their concerns with that chassis, it seems the Oreca chassis is causing the same things they feared would happen with Dome!

As already said the hope is that the WEC will allow teams to run old cars if the new ones are not ready for the first couple of races

I would day NO,you never know if some teams discarded running a 2013 LMP1 because they feel it was impossible to get on time to run a 2014 LMP1.

But can you repair a crash tested tub?
Isn't it damaged beyond the repair point? |

Why would you think it is damaged at all?

Koenigsegg used one shell for all EU crash tests (20+ or so???) for the Agera, so I don't see why an already crashtested chassis could be inspected, mended where necessary and raced. Seems odd and dangerous, but I'm sure it isn't!
