Renting a Caravan?
Hi folks. It appears that two of my friends who have in the past resisted the siren call have now succumbed. They want to come to Le Mans in 2014.
Here's the question. How do I go about finding a rental caravan for them? All of the people I camp with now use tents, most of which are either bought on the spot at Carrefour or Decathlon, or brought from England/Holland. One of the two would be okay with a tent, but the other one? No way. What I need to find out is what kinds of options we have, pricing, and how the caravan can be placed at the campsite before they arrive. Keep in mind we are in a commissaire campsite, and these friends will be our guests there. thanks in advance! keke |

I couldn't be doing with people that try to impose conditions on an invitation of mine, it's just bad manners. Come on my terms or not at all, simple choice.
On a more practical note, I can't honestly say I've ever seen a towed caravan at Le Mans - motorhomes, yes. |

I'm open to a motorhome as well, if small. And while I do understand your point, I would rather have them there than not there. They are dear friends.
Heck, I don't camp anywhere but at Le Mans and I do it more reluctantly every wet year. If it does the liquid sunshine thing again next year I might impose myself on their hospitality! keke |

I second the idea of renting a camper, OR.... Could your colleagues on poste who are local not help out?

I must admit that if I had to go it alone (and no, James hasn't given me the elbow yet.... ), and if I couldn't namby-pamby it, I'd definitely think of hiring a motorhome in preference to a tent......

Hmmm, I'd have to add 'pod' to next year's campsite location poll!

Keke, try Momo, he has been renting a caravan for a number of years now. Not sure if one could be delivered to your campsite though but it´s worth a try!

Coach, you know these people from Sebring/Petit et al. One of them is usually in a blue shirt. keke |
