Hesketh Racing Press Release
After a difficult season, Hesketh Racing are happy to have recovered to 18th position in the championship. The highlight of the season was obviously the round win but through the difficult times, the team showed faith in its own ability and proved to be competitive often. Alex Yoong Press Officer |

Mrs. Fields Pies Team of Audacious Brazilians Press Release
Mexico City, Mexico -- Congratulations to the team leaders for recovering so well from bungled qualifying and/or race starts; apparently stationing Helga on the pitwall with her Weapons of Mass Instruction was an inspired thought by team ownership. We wish to thank Cristiano for a very enjoyable season and wish him the best of all luck in Formula Schumacher next year, and we will keep his room just as he left it (okay, we WILL send the maid in now and then) in case he wants to come back some day. We look forward to having Bruno back with us next season when we fully expect him to win the Championship. (No pressure, Bruno, honest! ) We are not speaking to Mr. Kanaan, who was accompanied by a security guard as he cleaned out his room and required to exit the paddock in civvies, through the front gate, to give him one last look at the crowd that was as big yesterday as the total attendance for the year where he will be going next year. The Team will be changing its name next season as it is in negotiations with a German. We believe that the combination of Brazilians and Germans will settle the paddock down a mite. See you in a few months -- Pancho and Pedro "Los Guapos" Morales Very Upbeat Morale Officers Pies for Everybody! |

PRESS RELEASE
19/11/01 DBR CART World Champions!!! At the end of a long year, and 19 races, DBR are proud CART champions, thanks to Cristiano da Matta, Patrick Carpentier and Michel Jourdain, who all finished in the top 10 in the standings thanks to consistent results and quick pace all year. We would like to thank Cristiano for all his hard work throughout the year, and are sad to see him leave, but we wish him the best of luck in Formula Snore next year. And Cris, there is seat here if you want to come back. Patrick also had an outstanding season for DBR, with two victories and consistent results. We are already making it official that we have signed Patrick for 2003 so that is one driver lock in already. Michel was only hired by our team part-way through the season, but he adapted to the team straight away and was unlucky not to finish in the points in every race. Our plans are not all in place for next year, but Michel is on our list of drivers. Finally, a big thank you to all our sponsors, in particular Jim Beam Distilleries, for all their hard work throughout the year. And also a big thanks and kiss to Laetitia Casta, our pit-babe, who ensured thousands of guests at our paddock tent! Sumjurc Ramdmicar Press Officer PS - Thankyou Liz for running the competition. |

team tanalised timber can't understand their last placing amongst teams who completed a fullseason with their drivers Carpentier and dixon, but will move on to look forward to next year. With contracts up for renewal, Carpentier is expected to resign providing we can pay him his usual tray of **** each race weekend. The team would like to resign Dixon as well, however this appears to be increasingly unlikely as he seems to be disappearing before our eyes to run round in circles next year.
Maybe we can sign someone else cheaply. Gidley? doesn';t he work for free? |

*****************TEAM G STRINGS AND TASSELS****************
2ND IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP. What an outstanding result after last years dismal performance. It was a wise move on the teams behalf to move away from Australia and head to Rio. Christiano and Scott did an excellent job all year. It is a pitty that we will be loosing our best drivers next year, but we will still come back and see what the cosworth power can do. Edwardo Bullpitto Team Manager. P.S. When do we recieve our cheque for $500,000????????. There are bills to be paid..........hey we didnt pay them last year so why start now. |

Well, that was fun, wasn't it? Maple City Racing is saddened that the season is over, but in a way it couldn't have come at a better time. We'd spent all of our money! The team was faced with the prospect of hitch-hiking home from Mexico City, until we were able to sell our front nosecone to Tracy's team. That gave us just enough to buy an old pickup truck and fill it with gas.
Mrs. Judd is upset because we left Dario behind. The team would like to thank its sponsors, especially Tecate. Although they never actually gave us any money, they supplied refreshments throughout the season and even let us keep the empties! Let me see... Fifteenth in the championship. Certainly the team is going to consider hiring a new sage. The offseason's going to be a busy one as we try to find some more sponsorship. But we are very much looking forward to meeting up with friends, old and new, come St. Pete's! |

Mon-Toyota Racing are disappionted to have narrowly missed the Top 10, but delighted to ahve done so well including so many victories from Cristiano Da Matta. Both da Matta and Scott Dixon look likely to move on for 2003, but we intend to announce a full 3 car effort in the future.

PINEAPPLE RACING 2002 SEASON SUMMARY
At last we can tell Honda to nick off!!!! Pineapple Racing concluded a tumultuous and turbulent year in Mexico City. The early season was marred by excessive Spanish cliches surrounding Pineapple driver, Oriol Servia. The team also suffered a series of shocking analogies throughout the whole season. At the first race of the season, Pineapple drivers, Servia and Kanaan were accused of physically assaulting Tora Takagi, after Takagi had held up Servia and taken out Kanaan. Pineapple were forced to deny allegations that they were responsible for planting 700kg of explosives behind the Long Beach paddock after a dismal race there, resulting in a -6 point round. At Motegi, Tony Kanaan's car busted whilst he was in the lead. After this race, Pineapple refuted claims that they were looking to change their name to Lemon Racing. Pineapple Racing originally campaigned a one-car Indy 500 effort for Tony Kanaan. Servia was unavailable due to his Running Of The Bulls campaign in Pamplona, Spain coinciding with the event. However, Oriol Servia joined the Indy effort belatedly, after a heated falling out between he and his Running Of The Bulls coach - his mum. This falling out saw Oriol nearly killed by his mother running over him in the family Seat, and consequently colliding with a neighbour's house while taking avoiding action. It was at this time that Servia's CART Lola-Hondas were lost in Australia. Tony Kanaan started 5th at Indy and comfortably led the race until a rubbish call saw Tony hit oil and crash, resulting in Tony to state the following, "Greatest race in the World my arse!" How ironic, looking back. Oriol Servia would have qualified comfortably for the race, however his car failed on the last lap of his qualifying run. This was the icing on the cake. After his bust-up with his mother, the team losing his cars, and a rubbish car causing him to not qualify for the Indy500, Oriol Servia turned to alcohol and quickly became an alcoholic. He formed a strong relationship with Tequila. After the Laguna Seca race, Pineapple owner, mac enlisted the help of renowned Irish therapist, Dr Sike O'Path, and placed the whole team into counselling. After yet another dismal performance at the Laguna Seca race, Pineapple Racing found the cars of Oriol Servia. They were found in the garage of team owner mac's brother. He had been using the cars for illegal street racing purposes in Western Sydney. Despite some strong performances, mac's brother unfortunately suffered some mechanical problems during his efforts. Upon news of the discovery of his cars, Oriol Servia underwent evaluation to see if he was sober enough to drive. He was found to be too drunk to drive. Pineapple then replaced him with Canadian driver, Alex Tagliani. Pineapple had also purchased two more cars in case, Servia's cars could not be found. The team selected Bruno Junqueira to drive this entry, in a blatant attempt to lift the team, who were then sitting last by a long way. The team was rocked at Portland when television crews attempted to place a camera inside Tony Kanaan's helmet, only to find out that all that could be seen was a giant shot of Tony's big freaking nose. After hitting Tracy at Chicago, Alex Tagliani was chased all around the Windy City by Paul. One highlight of the season was the drinking session held the night before the Toronto race with Alex Zanardi. However, this might be a reason why the team had a disgraceful race. During his time with Pineapple Racing, Bruno Junqueira was placed into speech therapy in an attempt to curb his excessive swearing. Tony Kanaan had persistent snot issues (common with a snoz THAT big) at both Cleveland and Vancouver. Pineapple Racing found themselves in last place from the Milwaukee race until the Vancouver race. Before the Vancouver race, Oriol Servia was deemed sober enough to drive, and was subsequently admitted back to his former ride. Bruno Junqueira was punted as a result, despite recording the team's best result (2nd at Portland). Tony Kanaan, upset at recording yet another DNF, proceeded to trash the Pineapple Racing garage with a crowbar at the Mid-Ohio race. Elkhart Lake saw Pineapple Racing's best race with Tagliani finishing 2nd, Kanaan 4th and Servia the class of the field until his car stopped. Between the Denver and Rockingham races, the Pineapple Racing crew needed a break, and were subsequently treated to a holiday in Mauritius, courtesy of mac. After Rockingham, when it was announced that Tony Kanaan would be going to the IRL for 2003, he was sacked most unceremoniously by Pineapple Racing. His car was left vacant for the rest of the season, and the team seemed to perform better for it. During the 2 week break between Miami and Surfers Paradise, Pineapple Racing embarked on a non-stop party. This resulted in Pineapple Racing being banned from travelling with United Airlines in future. United found the following reasons: - Alex Tagliani threw up down the top of a flight stewardess. - Oriol Servia opened the plane door to throw up outside. - mac sexually assaulted a bottle of vodka. - Indecent exposure by Alex Tagliani. - The Pineapple Racing group were encouraged to yell out, "Kanaan's a ****er!" at random intervals, by the team owner. The team was also rocked by the Tags Sex Scandal, where it was alleged that Pineapple team owner, mac offered Race Commissioner, Liz Alex Tagliani to act as a sex slave in reply for a "generous" amount of competition points. The Pineapple Racing team's season was marred by constant mechanical failures throughout the season. Pineapple Racing can't wait for 2003. Pineapple Racing would also like to announce that they have re-signed Oriol Servia for 2003 and have signed Paul Tracy to the team to drive alongside the Catalan. Negotiations are underway for the driver of the 3rd car, with several drivers (including 2002 driver, Alex Tagliani) still in the frame. Finally, Pineapple Racing would like to commend the Race Commissioner, Liz on the running of the best fantasy series in the World. It has been a pleasure. See you in 2003! For the last time in 2002, P. Dribbler signing off! Chief Media Liason Officer Pineapple Racing |

I am sure that the Season Wrap on Speed Channel won't be nearly as interesting as OUR season wrap up!
Once we all sober up, we'll have to formulate some new rules for next season due to everyone having the same engines. Mr. Congeniality? Whine of the Race? "Move of the Race" (to be voted on by team owners)? |

Dawn Racing are disappointed with our results this season, and even more disappointed that we didn't manage to beat those buggers at Team Wrex.
Anyway, we'll be back with a vengeance next year (and a couple of drivers and cars as well). |
