Late Rescue Licences
I have enquired of the MSA, the whereabouts of my Rescue Licence for 2004.
It appears that they have had a problem printing Dual Licences i.e. Race & Rally. They are currently re-running the program. They will be dispatched soon. The dreaded MSA database strikes again!! Regards, Jim Lamb Last edited by Jim Lamb; 27 Jan 2004 at 19:27. |

No doubt their 'Bean Counter' has decided that spending more than 2'/6d per Competitor/Official is far to excessive! Regards, Jim Lamb |

Mine arrived yesterday, again thats the third licence I have for this year. My regular marshals licence, My rally marshals licence& now my rescue & instrucors licence
with several lines of x's on it. As my daughter says, does that mean i'm X rated many times over? |

Yes, as if by magic, mine appeared with the Friday AM post.
Complete with Blue Book and appendices. I note they've amalgamated the two Separate Rescue Licence lines into one, and added the 'X' generator to fill the rest. With a little common sense they could reduce their printing costs considerably. Maybe they could reallocate the surplus to something useful?? Why make it simple, if complex has worked previously!! See you all out there........... Regards, Jim Lamb |

Steve, Be patient.
Are you sitting comfortably? Then i'll begin. Once upon a time the system used to work like this. -Trainees take assessment. -List of successful candidates etc gets discussed at next Rescue Advisory Group meeting. -Details passed to MSA Licence admin' department. -Wait while Database program is fiddled with to accomodate additions to the list. -Wait while program is reloaded because the system can't cope with the changes. Eventually somewhere out of the Ether 'behold a Rescue Licence appears for BlackX'. Something like that anyway!! It takes time. Until then you know you have passed, so does Tony/JF so just carry on quoting your existing Licence number, until it arrives. By the way it's just like passing your driving Test! Now you've passed the Assessment. You can start learning all about Rescue Properly What a nasty bloke I am Regards, Jim Lamb |
