I've not seen any more beyond the 9 cars - all people from the Clubmans championship or Denmark IIRC.

I'd assume the majority of the British Championship runners will take part.

Well the meeting starts a week tomorrow, so they should damned well have had all their entries well in by now. If I was the BRSCC, I'd have cancelled it at closing date due to lack of entries.

i'd assume exactly the opposite to kb, it's just not the event it used to be for 1800s.

Yes bella, I agree, but rumour has it that Brands are saying Zetec testing is full.
And we all know the reason it is not the event it used to be.
Answer : Zetec
The worst thing to happen to National single seaters IMHO.

Is it any wonder FF1600 is in the resurgence?

Pound to a pinch of snuff that - assuming the Zetec part of it goes ahead - Autosport will give it full 'premier status' reporting and just gloss over the 'main' feature

Diz, zetec engines made no difference to the price or quality of the series. Its an engine, a thing that moves the cars forward. The Zetec engine is more reliable and cheaper than a kent anyway. It cost thousands to keep kents going at top spec, a zetec costs next f a. And its even stupider now that people are buying new zetecs and spending money to make them into kents.

The thing that made the festival go downhill is a cultural thing. If you've noticed there are less people trying to make a career out of driving. They dont want to risk all their money on it nowadays and would prefer to do DIY.

Even if there wasnt a dilution by BMW and Renault it wouldnt be a very big grid.

When I said the majority of the British Championship runners, I was basing that on the fact it's only had fields of 17-18 this year.

If 10 cars from the British Championship enter (and from various places I've read it looks like that's achieveable) then that'll be the majority of them taking part

Yes bella, I'm probably old enough to be your grandad. I would have put it in young speak, but the autocensor would have overheated and the Snowman would shout at me if I tried to dodge it.
I occasionally fancy talking to the younger TT element and find parc ferme eminently suitable [sorry 'the dogs b******s] when the members get home from school.

Totally agree. If Avon can make a slick that is more consistant it would be a brilliant car/Championship.

Wish I could afford to be out next weekend!

John only if you put a Kent in the back and use the old engine as an anchor for a boat.

A grid in the mid twenties is decent given the circumstances - the category may be moribund but its not dead yet.

And it seems the majority of the "regular" British championship runners (not that there were many) have entered.

nono, ian wouldn't shout at you (he's not allowed to), i'd smack you over the head for censor-dodging cause you've strayed back over to the dark side here

i do hope they're going to have more entries than that. how many heats are there?
