Thruxton august 16nd/17nd marshal tickets

I got my tickets for the thruxton F3 meeting next weekend in the mail today : i got 2 tickets but no carpass . a quick call to pam dearn and she told me that there were no carpasses. will i still be able to get onto the start/finish straight with my car and go to sign on in the morning or do i have to park on the right hand side after the circuit entrance and go on foot to the sign on only to find out that i could be on any post between 8 and 16 ?
please reply before thursday evening.

thank you very much

Good point! No instructions given are they... I'd give driving onto the circuit a go, I doubt they have a coach to take us all round.

You will soon find out when you try to get past the first security guard!

You're one up on me then, I got instructions but no tickets! My advice is ti try and blag your way past the security. If you're directed into the car park, it can be very difficult to get back out if you are on track.

Is this a BARC meeting? If so, why not e-mail Karen Cottingham who should be able to help with your queries. Her address is on the BARC website www.barc.net

Sadly not a BARC meeting as you can tell from the 'detail' in the instructions, NOT!

Usually for this meeting you get put into the public car park, walk across to sign on where you are then alocated a post and given a track pass. Then walk back to the car and drive back down to the main gate, drive up the main drive and on to the circuit. A bit of a carry on I know.

Well this is it.. big / international meetings get one last chance this weekend. Having sacked going to BTCC a couple of years ago, Thruxton this weekend better be good, otherwise next year the 750MC will be getting plenty of my time..
