Poor Pechito López, he will have just one race to prove his skills.

Last year during a TC race here, there was a crash in the same twisty section in the latter part of the track, and it nearly got completely blocked.

This is strange. Race finished with some 7 or 8 seconds left. I think some team (Young Driver?) could dispute legitimacy of the results, although it's of course very improbable.

Well, it's the fourth FIA GT1 drivers title for Bertolini and Bartels and the sixth consecutive FIA GT1 teams title for Vitaphone. But all of them are first-time world champions, so congratulations!

This was the first time I watched a FIA GT1 race live. I loved the different engine sounds, I'm very unaccostumed to that.

Excellent race. Great to see some overtaking in modern motor racing! Looking forward to watching the main race now on the bigger screen TV. Why bloomberg show triathlon rather than this race I have no idea!

Are you sure?

Here (http://www.gt1world.com/news/article...kend-timetable) it says that the race is at 13:25 local time, so 16h25 in the UK/Portugal and 17h25 for the rest of Europe...

bloombergs live coverage starts at 5.30pm, so I assume 6pm is about right.

gt1world.com screwed up with the timetable methinks! At least it's shown live on Bloomberg, 1st time I'll be watching a GT1 race live on TV! I do hope they show more live races next year, if not all of em!

Apparently the #6 Ford's problem in the qualifying race was an ECU issue that cut the engine... (according to the commentary on the QR highlights package)

...now when was the last time we heard about ECUs causing problems on these cars?

I don't understand why people rag on Ratel. Everytime I've watched FIA GT this year, it's been great racing, and the site is a professional site, with a fantastic livestream. I'm currently downloading two files, and the stream is running better than any stream I've ever run.
