Spritle has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Is the British GP Going to be Cancelled?

With the attack now on going on London, (if you didn't hear, turn on the telly), do you think it's possible they may cancell the race out of safety concerns?

My sympathies to those Londoners that have been hurt or worse.

I don't think the race will cancelled but it could take longer to get in due to security checks

But they were in defferent countries. If it was the US GP the next day I doubt it would have gone ahead. I'm not saying these are on the same scale (haven't heard many details yet) just making an observation.

Was the British GP ever cancelled during the days of the IRA Bombing campaign?

Whether the GP should be stopped might depend on the casualty rate, but if the purpose of terrorism is to terrorise people to the point they can't do the things they would normally do... then continuing with the GP and other major events (with increased security) would seem to be the correct response.

Doubt i'll be cancelled either, but as we know anything can happen in F1 these days...

I dont think it will get cancelled based on just todays incedents. If these attacks carry on, then perhapse the grand prix may be postponed to a later date?

I don't think they will cancel.

It would just be doing what the attacker's want - causing terror and disrupting normal life.

I'm sure there will be extra security and possibly special things done with the GP to mark the event, but it will go ahead.

Perhaps they could leave the front two rows of the grid free as a mark of respect to those who have died? Or something similarly symbolic?

My thoughts and prayers are with all those in the UK, especially the victims and their families.

I hope the gp will go on, but that's really the least we shall care about.

FIRST OF ALL, ARE ALL OUR ENGLISH FRIENDS AND THEIR FRIENDS AND FAMILIES ALRIGHT?

I do and not beause I am going. We should continue with it to show it is important. Why cause (extra) misery to the hundred thousand people going.

The race will go on and we shall go to it as normal.

I hope they do run it. You can't give in to terrorists. They are just bullies with explosives, and we should never cower to bullies.

thats what i like to know....

I would like to wish our english based forumers all the best and hope they and their families are safe and sound.

its so upsetting to see and i feel for the ppl who have families who are missing at this time

btw we should care as if the race and anything else is cancelled then they win & they would of got what they wanted....paralysing paranoia

Provided we have seen the last elements of the attack, the race has to go on - there's no immediate threat to it, and we can't let this people win. If they are allowed to disrupt our normal life, they have claimed a far greater victory.
