IMO Priaulx is also competitive, too! Missed his performance in Macau last year.

I am still guessing if there will be at least 20 regular entries for this season, it cannot be answered until the organizer release the entry list

If Corona doesn't stop the series as a whole, there is also an FIA requirement that they need 16 cars to be considered an official FIA series. At least, I think there was when TC1 was going under, I'm not sure if it's still in action.

WTCR regs say that an individual event may be cancelled if there are fewer than 16 entries. Doesn't say that it will be cancelled, only that it may be. That's an individual event, which could include wild-card entries.

The series relies almost relies completely on Eurosport, so I would be very surprised if we don’t see something this year

Regardless of coronavirus, I'm somehow not surprised teams and manufacturers are not very interested in a 'World' cup that races where there are no fans, manipulates results with a ridiculous BoP and which almost doesn't exist in the media because of poor promotion.

The reason why TCR can defeat WTCC is because of money. It seems using a WTCC style of rules is obsolete. Maybe making a "World Cup" for all TCR series front runners in Macau or somewhere is better?

A world cup for TCR sounds a brilliant idea, in fact I think something similar has been done before
