British GP - Specific Questions

Hi Guys & Girls

Finally after 30 years i've managed to get tickets for silverstone (never could afford it) i`m going with my 10 year old son but have a couple of questions that I hope you guys can help me with.

1) I'm hoping to pitch a tent somewhere, i read somewhere that silverstone have a Camping passes is this right and how do i get one? are they free? if not willing to sleep in car somewhere any sugestions where i could park up to get some sleep.

2) I have a parking permit for Sunday at the track but can I park there Friday and Saturday and if so do I have to pay (as you may have guessed i'm very low on funds) if i don`t have to pay is it first come first served and what time should i get there to make sure i get a parking place.

Also - if you do a search or have a look, sure there's a discussion about camping and where's best etc somewhere on here from not too long ago.

I wouldn't bother ringing them.. just tried for 20 minutes to get through and just get cut off after ten minutes

Keep trying, they do answer in the end. It took me three attempts to get through.

Eventually got through on the 588200 number by deliberately routing myself to the wrong dept who transferred me internally, got answered immediately then ! Tickets were tried to deliver this morning.. phew !

I have recieved my tickets as well, 4 of them, but only have a window parking pass for sunday, does this mean on the fri and sat i can park in the circuit?

Friday and Saturday I believe parking is free
