Not sure about UK releases but the closest Ive seen to a new "racing" game is the new NFS. Sitting here waiting for the announcement of Forza 3 for next summer sometime, 3 times through the game is not as much fun as new tracks and championships.

Not just any racing game, but what I reckon will be THE racing game is coming out in January.

"RACE Pro" Is made by SimBin, it's their first venture into the world of Sim racing on consoles and is looking brilliant.

If you've heard of Race '07 and GTR Evolution, it's basically a console friendly version of those games.

WTCC Extreme (from what I gather these will be WTCC style cars with more horsepower and RWD and a slight DTM look about the body kits)

Forza 3 is expected some time next year (But that's just rumours)

Codemasters are making the next F1 Game and promise that it'll be a simulator rather than the abominations that were DiRT and GRiD.

They are also making "FUEL" which looks like an even larger version of Motorstorm

And possibly in the future (although things have gone a bit quiet on this front) "Ferrari Project" which is being made by "Blimey" Games, from what I hear they are a spin off of devs who have left SimBin and gone it alone, so expect a very good game to come from them.

Basically if you factor in this amazing looking new wheel from Fanatec and all of these games things are looking very bright in XBox land for racing.

Pro is really the only racing game coming soon, there's a need for speed undercover coming out in the next week but I havent heard good things about it. Can't wait for Pro though, I was annoyed when it was delayed.

Race Pro is coming in 2009, and judging by those picture it looks as though it will be very good. NFS: Undercover came out today in the states and it has not gotten favorable reviews so far (many have said that it really isn't much different from all the other games in the series). I bought Midnight Club: LA a few weeks back and I have to say, what a game. If you are into arcade racers then definitely give it a try.

RACE Pro is definately one I'm going to buy, there isn't any proper Touring Car game for the consoles now.
