Quite honestly I don't give a damn about the 39 Euro (although I recognize that for some it is tough) - I just wish they would have the instructions in English and laid out in a clear and constructive way, so that we at least know what we are buying into. - Sorry! I forgot it's the ACO!

It is the first time for me in years not joining the club24 or what it is called now. Not that I am worrying about never having received the ACO membership card but given that and that they want to send out memorabilia I get rather suspicious.
Also a lot of functions of the formerly Club24 were not as good as being proposed. Instead of all bulletins (proposed before applying) that were released during race week you only got selected ones. Last year, suddenly only selected pictures were downloadable. I would have loved to download finish line pictures from the Aston Martin LMPs which suddenly were not available or as thumbnail only. The first time i bought the club24web membership it was for the regular circuit side broadcast of radio le mans through the club mainly anyway as live timing and stuff was on the main site anyway. And the added features of LMS, ALMS and lately AsLMS were not more than live timings and timing sheets.

Most of the stuff became available on their main site anyway. So, like in my thread about the differences I still would like to know if it became that better/different from before.

Andy

Not a fan of that #79 car at all!!

Not seen a livery that offends my eyes so much since Di Resta's old vomit comet in DTM...

Charging for live timing, these days, is of inexplicable incompetence.

Hopefully they've rented the spares for it as well.
The SV-R's run by Reiter have been good so far in the GT1WC, so JLOC does have a chance. (Unless something falls off at the start)

Remember, they haven't just come by asking. They did win the GT1 class at Okayama last year. However they need to make the 24 hours to be treated seriously again.

Hi all! New guy here, just registered last night.

I've been looking for a place to talk sportscars for a while now, and going by the first few pages of this thread (not to mention this entire dedicated sub-forum) I seem to have found one! Currently reading through the thread in anticipation of the free practise session to get underway. Here's looking foreward to much banter and general fun times

That's what I am wondering as well... the only mention I found of a livetiming on the LM website was in conjunction with the 39-€ exclusive package, but in recent years you always had the choice between the all-out-package and a free-for-all slimed down T&S...

Alright, did so. If that's really what they're going to do, I'll be seriously ****ed. Might just as well not watch it at all.

I am not going to pay 39€ for freaking T&S... 5€s for the Eurosport-player seems reasonable, but that???

Guess I'll invest that money in a tank full of diesel an watch Ferrari Challenge and Superstars Touringcars at Hockenheim on Sunday...

Who charges money for timing and scoring? Formula 1 and NASCAR have free timing and scoring.

I can understand NASCAR charging for their advanced timing and scoring which allows you to switch between onboard cameras freely and gives you a 3-D view of the track and cars in real time, but even Indycars has a similiar system that is free

But $ for text based timing and scoring?

Hopefully someone has a link to a live video stream of practice which starts here in 25 minutes

Live Timing

The Livebar is free to ACO members, but the download is currently only on the French
language pages, not on the English ones last time I looked. Will only work under
Windows of course. Unfortunately, if you are running Linux, this won't work and
nor does the Eurosport player!!! Think I'll go home early today...
