Finding out about marshalling

I recently met Sandi Fisher from Stockport Training for Business, who would like to bring youngsters (most of whom are not in formal education) to find out about marshalling.

Obviously, her nearest circuit is Oulton - but she would like to hear about marshalling, and also about how her youngsters can volunteer to work on cars

She is on [mod]e-mail removed[/mod]

Many thanks

I have sent an email to Sandi giving her contact details for Nadine Lewis, who is the main marshalling contact at Oulton Park and also a couple of other sources of information.

It is interesting to note that having had to take charge of incidents of any size, but especially directing people ("you - move" type things) has had a positive effect on the way I operate at work.

So "Training for Business" trainees might well learn a great deal even if they don't continue in our trade.

Would it be worth contacting some of the development agencies, or funding providers, to see if they would cough up some cash to run training days?
February is looking such a long way off .....

In which case, I've now removed the e-mail address - there's some funny/dodgy people out there.

No, not the mods...
