WSBK already has too many ex-GP riders, few of them having impressed in that series. Racing a superbike is not identical to racing a thoroughbred GP bike, and the series shouldn't be treated as a dumping ground for guys who didn't succeed in GPs. There are more talented (not to mention motivated...) riders in Supersports and domestic Superbike championships who are more deserving than Hoffman.

Corser and Haga to stay with Yamaha! Good choice to keep Corser next to Haga! Although he hasn't won yet in 2007, I think Corser has been very important for this years succes.

Kenan Sofuogluo made his superbike debut during the last Superbike race for the Dutch Superbike Championship (yes we have a Superbike championship with more than 40 riders).
He rode a Ten Kate supported Honda CBR (not the same bike as Toseland is riding, Dutch superbike rules are different than WSB rules) and narrowly beat the Dutch Champion and veteran Arie Vos. I hope the next link works... http://brick36.hyves.org/113450001-1...41_6_77C8.jpeg |

Triumph to enter World Supersport in 2008. Good to have another manufacturer, although Triumph doesn't set me alight of excitement.

Does that mean the end of Caracchi's WSBK team? Great shame if it does, they've been a stalwart squad. Smrz ought to get another ride somewhere.

Then of course there is the news that surprises nobody, Foggy isn't going to be back.
The sad part about this is that it mean MV won't have a major presences at least next year... |

Although it hasn't been announced as a rider deal, it seems pretty certain that Ruben Xaus will stay with the Sterilgarda Team on 1098's. The team will be known as the Sterilgarda Go Eleven team now that the company that manages Ruben, Go Eleven will also be a major sponsor.
It is also rumoured to become a two bike team with Nicola Canepa as the second rider. |

I agree that Triumph could have found a better partner, but you do have to wonder how much a toe in the water exercise it is and when they get serious they will try to find a better team to work.
Sorry, but Foggy was always going to be an outside chance to find a sponsor to do anything, after the Petronas money he managed to p*ss down the drain, not many companies with the $'s to spend would be interested in sending it his way. |

If it is true what Agosling is saying, that Canepa will ride with Stelgarde, than they will stay with Ducati, cause Canepa is Ducati's baby. The only team suitable is DFX if you ask me. They are Italian, have experience with 4 cylinder bikes and got some good people on board. If they would get MV Agusta backing, surely they would be able to find some additional sponsors. Otherwise a new team in WSB would be the solution. |

Aprilia has potential when they get their V4 in production. But I've heard not till 2009. We shall see.

That is a good looking piece of machinery.
I wonder if they'd chose all german riders to ride it. Hoffman and the guy who won from a lap down in the wet at donnington. |
